00:00:30
What's up guys, welcome back to the Force Unscripted.
00:00:34
Today I got another Force Fact for you coming from...
00:00:37
You know what?
00:00:38
Forget it, I'm done with that stupid segment thing.
00:00:39
I got a Force Fact for you guys, and as we all know, I am the resident Mando expert,
00:00:46
and today I am telling you a little bit about the Mandalorian language, Mandoa.
00:00:52
Did you know that in the language Mandoa, which is a fully functioning language, has
00:00:58
a couple thousand words in it, and people do speak it, including myself who is learning,
00:01:02
there are no pronouns in Mandoa.
00:01:06
There's no he, she, they, them, any of that.
00:01:09
And so Mandalorians, just by nature of how their language is constructed, are very inclusive
00:01:15
of other peoples because you're either Mandalorian or you're not.
00:01:19
And anybody can be a Mandalorian as long as they can follow the creed, wear the armor,
00:01:23
that kind of thing.
00:01:24
Aliens, male, female, it don't matter what you is, you can be a Mandalorian.
00:01:29
And I just think that's really cool, you know, especially with all the hate that the Acolyte
00:01:35
show is getting for LGBTQ stuff, that there are entire cultures in Star Wars where the
00:01:40
concept of, you know, any of that kind of thing is completely non-existent simply because
00:01:47
you're either them or you're not.
00:01:48
Yeah, I love that about Mandalorian culture because, you know, like, if you're not one
00:01:53
of them, they just call you, you know, Aruti.
00:01:56
And I also love the fact that like, if you, you know, like your dad, you call them Buir
00:02:00
or your mom, you would also call them Buir, Ba Buir for your grandparents.
00:02:04
And it's just kind of like a, it's like a cool thing because like, if you're talking
00:02:08
in Mandalorian, like you don't need that distinction.
00:02:11
If you're talking in like English or any other language for the most part, you know, there's
00:02:15
different words for, you know, different gender relationships.
00:02:19
So yeah, it's pretty cool.
00:02:20
I like that.
00:02:21
I think they would have done a little bit more in-depth into like Mandalorian culture
00:02:24
in the Mandalorian.
00:02:25
Like you said, that like anybody can be a Mandalorian.
00:02:27
I wish they would have shown some like sound links that weren't human.
00:02:29
They showed Grogu.
00:02:30
Grogu is like the only one.
00:02:32
Yeah, but I mean, the rest of the fucking, the rest of the covert was all human.
00:02:37
You don't know that.
00:02:38
They didn't take their fucking helmets off.
00:02:39
No, no, you don't know that.
00:02:40
They never took off their helmets.
00:02:41
You have no clue what they were under there.
00:02:42
That is true.
00:02:43
You have no clue what a single one of those covert Mandalorians were under the helmets
00:02:48
besides- All I'm saying is I want to see a Mon Cal Mandalorian.
00:02:51
Maybe you have and you just didn't know.
00:02:52
Ain't no way a regular Mandalorian helmet fitting on that fucking big ass shrimp head.
00:02:57
It's all about perspective.
00:02:58
What if they just get a big enough helmet to where it looks the same as the other Mandalorians
00:03:02
and it's just, you know, he just, it looks like a bobble head.
00:03:05
Maybe you just never seen him.
00:03:06
He's just been off screen the entire head.
00:03:07
The entire head.
00:03:08
The entire head.
00:03:09
The entire head.
00:03:10
Shut up.
00:03:11
If it was off screen, then we never saw them on screen.
00:03:14
Okay, fair.
00:03:15
We have a Gungan Mandalorian in our Star Wars campaign.
00:03:18
That's why.
00:03:19
We do.
00:03:20
Whatever you are.
00:03:21
A Barabelle.
00:03:22
Yeah.
00:03:23
We have a lizard, lizard Lorian and a Gungalorian.
00:03:25
Frog-alorian!
00:03:26
Oh.
00:03:27
I like a Gungalorian.
00:03:28
No, no, I said frog.
00:03:29
Frog-alorian.
00:03:30
Oh, Frog-alorian works too.
00:03:32
Yeah.
00:03:33
This is the way.
00:03:34
But yeah, we do see this in the Mandalorian TV show with, you know, the inclusion of Grogu
00:03:39
as a foundling adopted by Din Djarin into the clan.
00:03:45
So they did bring that one of that aspect at least into canon where anybody can become
00:03:52
part of the Mandalorian tribes as long as they follow the way.
00:03:56
Whether that way is the more dogmatic way of the, you know, the children of the watch
00:04:01
or if it's the more relaxed way of the traditional Mandalorians, it doesn't really matter.
00:04:06
Anyone can can be a Mandalorian, which is why a lot of people join like the costuming
00:04:11
clubs and whatnot, you know, here on IRL because the culture is so inclusive that if you, like
00:04:18
I said, wear the armor and follow the tenants, which aren't hard to follow because it's
00:04:22
literally just family, armor, teacher kids, protect yourself and if your leader calls
00:04:29
you show up, that's, you know, the entire Mandalorian culture.
00:04:33
So anybody, even IRL people can actually be Mandalorians, which is why we call me the
00:04:38
resident Mandalorian.
00:04:40
Here on IRL.
00:04:41
Here on IRL.
00:04:42
Exactly what I said.
00:04:44
Words.
00:04:45
I just drink coffee, man.
00:04:46
I'm all over the place.
00:04:47
But thanks for tuning in everybody.
