Hey everyone and welcome to this week's Force Facts from my lexicon of facts about Star
00:00:29
Wars and the force. So did you guys know that blaster bolts basically travel anywhere between
00:00:37
130 to 135 miles per hour? This came about because a bunch of fans came to this consensus
00:00:45
after calculating frame by frame analysis of various scenes and came up with that magic number.
00:00:52
So blaster bolts can fly at you going about 135 miles per hour and yet stormtroopers still can't
00:00:58
hit shit. I mean you can't see shit. Also modern bullets fly much faster than that so. Would
00:01:05
explain how Jedi can casually deflect them even with the force. Yeah I guess that does kind of
00:01:11
put into perspective because that's only what like 40 miles faster than a pitch. Yeah well not even
00:01:16
it's like 30. You'd be seeing like 109s at the baseball games. Yeah so I guess if humans can
00:01:24
fucking you know hit stuff going that fast like you know 30 percent of the time 20 to 30 percent
00:01:29
of the time I guess a Jedi could definitely. With the force. Yeah. Yeah. Huh I guess it makes Star
00:01:35
Wars a little bit more practical then. It's also why the slugs are so bad for them. They're going
00:01:41
fast. They don't really get deflected they kind of get. Yeah like shrapnel. Yeah. All right well
00:01:48
