In this episode, the boys discuss Andor Season 2 and all of its glory (unless you're Exotic and are a hater for literally 0 reason)

00:00:00 --> 00:00:03 Exotic is late as always. Bricker, are you there?
00:00:06 --> 00:00:14 Are you cussing me out? It's Morse code. I think
00:00:14 --> 00:00:17 he's trying to tell us something. I think he's
00:00:17 --> 00:00:20 trying to tell the viewers he needs help. Beep
00:00:20 --> 00:00:22 twice if you need help. Beep three times if I
00:00:22 --> 00:00:26 need help. god damn it where the fuck's exotic
00:00:26 --> 00:00:28 you know what he's not cool anyway the three
00:00:28 --> 00:00:30 of us are the are the are the real squad i mean
00:00:30 --> 00:00:33 wait he's dead we killed him off last force fact
00:00:33 --> 00:00:36 we killed him off again Wait, wait, was he dead
00:00:36 --> 00:00:40 when we had the incident at the Forge? Yeah.
00:00:40 --> 00:00:42 Oh, he was. So that's all that matters. See,
00:00:43 --> 00:00:46 because Eric got to meet us three, and then Exotic
00:00:46 --> 00:00:48 wasn't there because he couldn't be because he
00:00:48 --> 00:00:50 was dead. Also, shout out Eric from Houston,
00:00:50 --> 00:00:52 Texas. We were chilling at the Forge playing
00:00:52 --> 00:00:55 some magic, and he recognized my voice while
00:00:55 --> 00:00:57 I was purchasing an egregious amount of cards
00:00:57 --> 00:00:59 that I shouldn't have purchased. And he was like,
00:00:59 --> 00:01:01 oh, I know your voice. And so I'm sitting there
00:01:01 --> 00:01:03 like, well, where do you know my voice from?
00:01:03 --> 00:01:05 I'm getting scared. trying to think of like what's
00:01:05 --> 00:01:07 going on he was like the force unscripted right
00:01:07 --> 00:01:10 boom fucking mind blown it was the greatest day
00:01:10 --> 00:01:13 of my life so far it was it was really dope like
00:01:13 --> 00:01:16 you brought him up and uh well because he said
00:01:16 --> 00:01:18 like he was listening to the part like the latest
00:01:18 --> 00:01:21 episode on the way to that place so like he had
00:01:21 --> 00:01:23 just been listening to our shit and then he heard
00:01:23 --> 00:01:26 your voice in line and then like came upstairs
00:01:26 --> 00:01:28 and you introduced him and again i'm thinking
00:01:28 --> 00:01:31 like oh this is somebody from school that i do
00:01:31 --> 00:01:34 not fucking recognize uh but because you know
00:01:34 --> 00:01:35 like who the fuck else would you be bringing
00:01:35 --> 00:01:38 up to like say hi to the rest of us and then
00:01:38 --> 00:01:40 you're like he just recognized my voice from
00:01:40 --> 00:01:43 the podcast and i was like oh shit I'm fucking
00:01:43 --> 00:01:46 winchy, bro. And this is Brick3PO. I'm going
00:01:46 --> 00:01:48 to be thinking about that moment for the next
00:01:48 --> 00:01:50 year. Maybe two. We want you to know, Eric, that
00:01:50 --> 00:01:53 every time that we're like, man, I really don't
00:01:53 --> 00:01:56 feel like doing the podcast today. You've now
00:01:56 --> 00:02:01 guilt tripped us into doing the podcast. I'm
00:02:01 --> 00:02:03 always going to be like, I cannot let Eric down.
00:02:04 --> 00:02:07 If we do it for no one, we do it for Eric. And
00:02:07 --> 00:02:10 Boat Guy. And Boat Guy. I miss Bo Guy. I miss
00:02:10 --> 00:02:13 Exotic. Where the fuck's Exotic? We'll cut him
00:02:13 --> 00:02:39 some slack. This time. What's up, guys? Welcome
00:02:39 --> 00:02:42 back to the Force Unscripted. Today we got our
00:02:42 --> 00:02:46 Andor episode for you. I'm here with my co -hosts,
00:02:46 --> 00:02:50 Nikita, Exotic, and Brick3PO. Sup, nerds? What
00:02:50 --> 00:02:54 up? I have to fucking hate you. Brick3PO found
00:02:54 --> 00:03:00 a new button to press in his... Massive amount
00:03:00 --> 00:03:04 of cyber, cyber tron was cyber tronics. Cybernetics.
00:03:04 --> 00:03:07 Cybernetics. Cybernetics. Thank you. Words. I
00:03:07 --> 00:03:08 haven't had enough coffee today. I've only had
00:03:08 --> 00:03:12 five cups. Only. Yeah. I need like five more.
00:03:13 --> 00:03:15 What's up, everybody? We're going to talk about
00:03:15 --> 00:03:18 Andor today. Andor and Andor season two. We've
00:03:18 --> 00:03:20 done an Andor episode in the past. Two actually.
00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 I think that. Yeah. But this one is going to
00:03:23 --> 00:03:26 be about season two. Action packed. Probably.
00:03:26 --> 00:03:30 Because I think Exotic's a hater. So stay tuned
00:03:30 --> 00:03:34 and sit tight for some good old Star Wars banter.
00:03:34 --> 00:03:38 I'm never letting you open another. Stay tuned.
00:03:38 --> 00:03:42 You know it. Sit tight. Sweet dreams, baby girl.
00:03:43 --> 00:03:47 Bye. I was really, I was very satisfied with
00:03:47 --> 00:03:50 Andor Season 2. Exotic is a hater, of course,
00:03:50 --> 00:03:54 because no Wookiees, no Jedi action. So, of course,
00:03:54 --> 00:03:56 he's already going to shit talk it. But there's
00:03:56 --> 00:04:00 a lot to unpack with Andor Season 2. The first
00:04:00 --> 00:04:02 thing that I want to talk about, because y 'all
00:04:02 --> 00:04:04 know me, always a little gay. I love the gay
00:04:04 --> 00:04:07 space rave. What a way to end a wedding. Bro,
00:04:07 --> 00:04:10 that I love that so much. Like the whole thing
00:04:10 --> 00:04:13 was tense. OK, because we got what's her bucket
00:04:13 --> 00:04:17 going after? What's his bucket? Right. God. Names.
00:04:17 --> 00:04:22 Which characters? Bix? The no, no. We got Mon,
00:04:22 --> 00:04:27 the the girlfriend of Mon Mothma's cousin. Shit.
00:04:27 --> 00:04:29 Names, man. You know, I'm talking about the lesbians.
00:04:30 --> 00:04:32 Yeah, yeah. Come on. We're on the you said on
00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 the topic of gay. So like that's that should
00:04:35 --> 00:04:36 have been the first one that came to your mind.
00:04:37 --> 00:04:42 She's going after the guy who helped Mon Mothma.
00:04:42 --> 00:04:45 I remember that one. Yeah. Yeah. Sinta, that
00:04:45 --> 00:04:49 was her name. Sinta, thank you. Yes. Sinta going
00:04:49 --> 00:04:51 after Tay. That whole scene is tense because
00:04:51 --> 00:04:53 he's getting drunker and drunker as the night
00:04:53 --> 00:04:55 goes on. And he's like, I need to talk to you.
00:04:55 --> 00:04:57 I need to talk to you. And then Luthen is there
00:04:57 --> 00:05:01 like the devil on Mon Mothma's shoulder. Like,
00:05:01 --> 00:05:05 kill him. Kill him. Get rid of blue sins. I told
00:05:05 --> 00:05:07 you this would happen. So we have that, like,
00:05:07 --> 00:05:09 you know it's gonna be, like, an emotional thing,
00:05:09 --> 00:05:11 but they never actually show us, like, Cinta
00:05:11 --> 00:05:14 doing the deed or anything. But we know it happens
00:05:14 --> 00:05:17 because Val and Cinta talk about it, you know,
00:05:17 --> 00:05:20 three years later, four episodes later or some
00:05:20 --> 00:05:22 shit like that. So that whole portion of it was
00:05:22 --> 00:05:25 tense. And then you just got Mon Mothma who's
00:05:25 --> 00:05:28 like, OK, I just sold my daughter off for basically
00:05:28 --> 00:05:31 like she finds out essentially no reason. Right.
00:05:32 --> 00:05:34 Because that was kind of part of the thing. She
00:05:34 --> 00:05:36 was like, fuck, I just like did all this for
00:05:36 --> 00:05:39 nothing. And then she gets drunk. She's like,
00:05:39 --> 00:05:41 the daughter's asking her for advice. And she's
00:05:41 --> 00:05:44 just like, nut up. Good luck. You can back out
00:05:44 --> 00:05:46 if you want. And the daughter's like, I wish
00:05:46 --> 00:05:49 you were not drunk. No, I wish you were drunk.
00:05:49 --> 00:05:51 I wish you were. Yeah, I wish you were drunk.
00:05:51 --> 00:05:53 And then my mom was like, you know what? Challenge
00:05:53 --> 00:05:56 accepted. And then there she is doing space rave,
00:05:56 --> 00:05:58 which is not like, we don't, we've never seen
00:05:58 --> 00:06:00 like a party kind of scene really. It was great.
00:06:02 --> 00:06:04 It was, it was awesome just to see, like, we've
00:06:04 --> 00:06:07 seen clubs before, but we've never just had like
00:06:07 --> 00:06:09 a scene of like, this is what like rich people
00:06:09 --> 00:06:13 do on Coruscant or on, you know, Chandrila or
00:06:13 --> 00:06:15 whatever. Right. So that was a pretty cool, like,
00:06:15 --> 00:06:18 new take on things. I'm sad there's no death
00:06:18 --> 00:06:21 sticks. Drugs, really. I'm surprised you weren't
00:06:21 --> 00:06:24 talking about it. I just, I liked it because
00:06:24 --> 00:06:28 I think what Andor does best out of anything
00:06:28 --> 00:06:31 that has ever been put out for Star Wars is the
00:06:31 --> 00:06:33 contrasting juxtaposition between the worlds
00:06:33 --> 00:06:36 that are involved in these stories. So, like,
00:06:36 --> 00:06:39 even while that scene is going on, like, you've
00:06:39 --> 00:06:42 got Bix fighting off sexual assault. You've got
00:06:42 --> 00:06:46 Brasso. you know running from stormtroopers on
00:06:46 --> 00:06:48 a speeder getting shot at and eventually dies
00:06:48 --> 00:06:52 then you have like the juxtaposition that i talked
00:06:52 --> 00:06:55 about in the other two episodes we did about
00:06:55 --> 00:06:57 andor where you're comparing the worlds of the
00:06:57 --> 00:07:00 rebellion where you have the very strict line
00:07:00 --> 00:07:04 approach to like let's use our democratic ways
00:07:04 --> 00:07:06 through mon and then you have saw just being
00:07:06 --> 00:07:09 like ah yeah let's go get the drugs you know
00:07:09 --> 00:07:13 like being very guerrilla style, attacking shit,
00:07:13 --> 00:07:16 bailing out, going to the next spot, wash, rinse,
00:07:16 --> 00:07:19 and repeat. Then you have the comparison between
00:07:19 --> 00:07:23 the shit that Cyril and Dedra are doing while
00:07:23 --> 00:07:28 you have Cassian, Bix, Clea, and Luthen all doing
00:07:28 --> 00:07:31 their rebellion shit and you see the Empire working
00:07:31 --> 00:07:34 to try to uncover them. There's just so much
00:07:34 --> 00:07:36 compare and contrast between the different worlds
00:07:36 --> 00:07:38 that exist in here. That's what I love about
00:07:38 --> 00:07:41 it. But also gay space rave, because voguing
00:07:41 --> 00:07:43 is pretty fucking cool. Don't forget about the
00:07:43 --> 00:07:45 intense rock -paper -scissors match. That shit
00:07:45 --> 00:07:48 pissed me off. Yeah. That was the one thing from
00:07:48 --> 00:07:51 the series that also going back to what when
00:07:51 --> 00:07:55 she said about like them not showing like what
00:07:55 --> 00:07:58 happened with Tay and Sinta. I feel like the
00:07:58 --> 00:08:02 worst part about Andor because they kind of did
00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 it in like three episode like triplets. The first
00:08:05 --> 00:08:07 triplet, there were so many unanswered questions
00:08:07 --> 00:08:10 like what happened to. The homies that they just
00:08:10 --> 00:08:12 left on the planet and or left on the planet,
00:08:12 --> 00:08:14 which I assume was Javen because when he's flying
00:08:14 --> 00:08:16 away, you see temples. So I assume they just
00:08:16 --> 00:08:18 died because they never say what happened to
00:08:18 --> 00:08:21 them. Like they just got hunted or starved, right?
00:08:21 --> 00:08:25 Oh, yeah. The rebels that were taken down in
00:08:25 --> 00:08:28 season one. That's who they were, right? Yeah.
00:08:28 --> 00:08:30 That was on Yavin, right? Because when he flies
00:08:30 --> 00:08:32 off, there's temples. But I don't think it was
00:08:32 --> 00:08:35 Yavin. They said where the attack was going to...
00:08:35 --> 00:08:37 Didn't they say where the attack was going to
00:08:37 --> 00:08:39 take place in the first season because they had
00:08:39 --> 00:08:42 the intel? But they didn't say where Cassian
00:08:42 --> 00:08:43 was originally supposed to meet his contact.
00:08:43 --> 00:08:45 It was just at the drop. I'm pretty sure that
00:08:45 --> 00:08:47 was Yavin because when he flies off in the tie,
00:08:47 --> 00:08:50 you see the Masasi temples. But like... Why would
00:08:50 --> 00:08:53 there be an Imperial base on Yavin? Like at that
00:08:53 --> 00:08:55 point, right? There wasn't an Imperial base on
00:08:55 --> 00:08:57 Yavin. So then that doesn't make sense because
00:08:57 --> 00:09:00 he's, he was still on that planet. No, he wasn't.
00:09:00 --> 00:09:03 Did he jump to hyperspace after he got out or
00:09:03 --> 00:09:05 did he just, okay. He jumped to, yeah, he jumped
00:09:05 --> 00:09:07 to, he got out. He was not on that same planet.
00:09:07 --> 00:09:09 Okay. Yeah. It's been a few, a few weeks since
00:09:09 --> 00:09:11 I watched that. It's okay. But when he flies
00:09:11 --> 00:09:13 off, you see a clear shot of like the temples
00:09:13 --> 00:09:15 lined up. That's why I was like, oh, this is
00:09:15 --> 00:09:18 Yavin. Then that's still weird that, like, what
00:09:18 --> 00:09:21 the fuck was hunting them? I thought that, because,
00:09:21 --> 00:09:24 like, I was always confused as to, like, when
00:09:24 --> 00:09:26 they finally do get to Yavin, I'm like, where
00:09:26 --> 00:09:28 are the Piranha Beetles and shit? You know, like,
00:09:28 --> 00:09:30 the stuff that's, like, native to Yavin that
00:09:30 --> 00:09:33 you hear about in Legends? Like, there was none
00:09:33 --> 00:09:35 of that. It seemed pretty tame. But, yeah, I'm
00:09:35 --> 00:09:37 pretty sure that was Yavin. Like, I'm, like,
00:09:37 --> 00:09:40 99 % sure. Because, like, why else do you show
00:09:40 --> 00:09:42 the temples when Cassian's flying off? I mean,
00:09:42 --> 00:09:44 just for, like, thematic effect, maybe. But,
00:09:45 --> 00:09:47 yeah. that that does make sense but what doesn't
00:09:47 --> 00:09:49 make sense is that they just never they never
00:09:49 --> 00:09:52 explained like how santa took out tay they never
00:09:52 --> 00:09:53 explained what happened to those fuckers they
00:09:53 --> 00:09:56 left a lot of stuff loose end for that first
00:09:56 --> 00:09:59 trip well they never they never showed santa
00:09:59 --> 00:10:02 executing those imperials in season one either
00:10:02 --> 00:10:04 yeah but i felt like we had we had gotten involved
00:10:04 --> 00:10:07 enough with tay to where he deserved like some
00:10:07 --> 00:10:09 finality on his death Actually, as a matter of
00:10:09 --> 00:10:13 fact, they never show anyone executing anyone
00:10:13 --> 00:10:16 on screen, really. True, but they do kind of
00:10:16 --> 00:10:19 hint that Luthan killed, what was his name? It
00:10:19 --> 00:10:21 started with a J. Young? Well, yeah. I mean,
00:10:21 --> 00:10:25 we see the bullet in his chest. Yeah. Yeah. They
00:10:25 --> 00:10:29 never actually show any assassinations on screen.
00:10:30 --> 00:10:31 Yeah, I just thought about that. Maybe that was
00:10:31 --> 00:10:33 just too brutal for it. But I mean, they showed
00:10:33 --> 00:10:36 Saw shooting the Imperial spy in the fucking
00:10:36 --> 00:10:38 head. True. But maybe that's just to show like
00:10:38 --> 00:10:42 the savagery of Saw in comparison to like, these
00:10:42 --> 00:10:45 are professional, you know, saboteurs and spies.
00:10:45 --> 00:10:48 So to add some mystique to it. Yeah. And to make
00:10:48 --> 00:10:51 Saw seem more, you know, a pirate and less like
00:10:51 --> 00:10:54 just like part of the rebellion core, which I
00:10:54 --> 00:10:56 mean, he obviously wasn't because he never really
00:10:56 --> 00:10:58 joined up with them because he didn't trust anyone
00:10:58 --> 00:11:02 because he was huffing gas. Yeah. I thought that
00:11:02 --> 00:11:06 was really great. Explain why he descends into
00:11:06 --> 00:11:12 madness and paranoia up into Rogue One is because
00:11:12 --> 00:11:15 he's been huffing fucking gas for years and years.
00:11:16 --> 00:11:18 Bro, you got some of that righto on you. Trying
00:11:18 --> 00:11:21 to get that good fix. I need variation six. It's
00:11:21 --> 00:11:24 funny how he convinced the god i can't remember
00:11:24 --> 00:11:27 it's been like on yeah it's funny how he convinced
00:11:27 --> 00:11:30 wilmon to do it he's like hey just try it just
00:11:30 --> 00:11:32 try it it's great it's fine and then wilmon's
00:11:32 --> 00:11:36 just like i'm actually i'm actually good on the
00:11:36 --> 00:11:38 names for this one because i watched it twice
00:11:38 --> 00:11:42 for myself once to go through and once to rewatch
00:11:42 --> 00:11:43 and then i had to watch it a third time with
00:11:43 --> 00:11:47 anna so the the names are fresh in my mind got
00:11:47 --> 00:11:49 you that's crazy i was barely able to get through
00:11:49 --> 00:11:52 it once man andor's good shut up exotic i also
00:11:52 --> 00:11:56 like the i don't know about that i do i love
00:11:56 --> 00:11:58 how andor kind of keeps it real with like i know
00:11:58 --> 00:12:01 it's a it's a very menial small thing but like
00:12:01 --> 00:12:04 with uh with cyril they always kind of keep it
00:12:04 --> 00:12:07 real like the mom what's her name ed i fucking
00:12:07 --> 00:12:11 hate cyril's mom because she's she's just like
00:12:11 --> 00:12:14 so fucking she's just annoying she's just really
00:12:14 --> 00:12:18 fucking annoying and dedra fucking reads her
00:12:18 --> 00:12:22 to tatters that shit was i was like you go dedra
00:12:22 --> 00:12:24 yeah this season they really humanize some of
00:12:24 --> 00:12:27 those characters yeah and even like you know
00:12:27 --> 00:12:30 the villains you end up like damn you just did
00:12:30 --> 00:12:32 all that for nothing essentially your life was
00:12:32 --> 00:12:35 wasted you realized at the end that it was all
00:12:35 --> 00:12:37 for a cause that never cared about you in the
00:12:37 --> 00:12:39 first place you're on the wrong side of history
00:12:39 --> 00:12:41 baby it's gonna be hitting a lot of people in
00:12:41 --> 00:12:44 the next 10 15 years i love that cereal it's
00:12:44 --> 00:12:48 just like goes off on andor at the end he's just
00:12:48 --> 00:12:51 like you you ruined my life blah blah blah and
00:12:51 --> 00:12:55 andor's just like who the fuck are you she was
00:12:55 --> 00:12:58 like are you shitting me and then he dies amazing
00:12:58 --> 00:13:01 it's that it's that scene from um from what is
00:13:01 --> 00:13:05 it uh in game where it's like you took everything
00:13:05 --> 00:13:11 from me i don't even know who you are But also,
00:13:12 --> 00:13:15 I'm convinced that Cyril got the strap in, I
00:13:15 --> 00:13:17 think it was like episode four. Because like
00:13:17 --> 00:13:19 Deirdre was like, turn off the lights. And I
00:13:19 --> 00:13:21 was like, oh, he finna get it. He's finna get
00:13:21 --> 00:13:24 it. Not the other way around. Because he's definitely
00:13:24 --> 00:13:26 a bottom. Or, you know, Deirdre's just really
00:13:26 --> 00:13:28 self -conscious. No, Deirdre definitely owns
00:13:28 --> 00:13:31 a strap on. I promise you. I'd bet good money
00:13:31 --> 00:13:33 on that one. I mean, this is Star Wars. Does
00:13:33 --> 00:13:36 it even need the strap part? Oh my gosh, she's
00:13:36 --> 00:13:38 got a hover crotch goblin. Or, you know, it's
00:13:38 --> 00:13:41 just an attachment. Brick3PO, what do you know
00:13:41 --> 00:13:47 about cybernetic dildo attachments? Fuck. I'm
00:13:47 --> 00:13:50 never expecting it. Goddamn. But yeah, I knew
00:13:50 --> 00:13:52 the second that they brought Senta back into
00:13:52 --> 00:13:55 it when Senta was, like, carting off Tay. I was
00:13:55 --> 00:13:58 like, I wonder if this results in a lesbian tragedy.
00:13:58 --> 00:14:01 And guess what? It resulted in lesbian tragedy.
00:14:01 --> 00:14:04 Those fucking Gormans. Yep. Of course, like...
00:14:04 --> 00:14:06 Dude, I knew the second that... That kid, they
00:14:06 --> 00:14:08 showed that kid, like, they were like, don't
00:14:08 --> 00:14:11 bring guns. Don't bring guns. And then that kid
00:14:11 --> 00:14:13 was, you know, back talking and whatnot. Dude,
00:14:14 --> 00:14:17 I knew one of them was dead. I was, like, I saw
00:14:17 --> 00:14:19 it all, like, pieced together. And I was like,
00:14:19 --> 00:14:22 this is some bullshit. The second the shot went
00:14:22 --> 00:14:24 off, I was like, yep, lesbian tragedy. I thought
00:14:24 --> 00:14:26 it was going to be, honestly, I thought it was
00:14:26 --> 00:14:29 going to be Vel that died. So I was pleasantly
00:14:29 --> 00:14:32 shocked that it was Cinta. You want to know how
00:14:32 --> 00:14:34 I knew it was Cinta? Because in that scene when
00:14:34 --> 00:14:36 they're sitting in the cafe and she was like,
00:14:36 --> 00:14:38 I'll tell you about it later. And I was like,
00:14:38 --> 00:14:41 no, you won't. Oh, yeah. I mean, I told I was
00:14:41 --> 00:14:43 watching with my wife and I literally during
00:14:43 --> 00:14:46 that I was like anime red flag right there. One
00:14:46 --> 00:14:48 of them is dead. Exactly. I said it out loud.
00:14:48 --> 00:14:51 I said it out loud. I was like, yep, one of them
00:14:51 --> 00:14:53 just just, you know, they just killed him up.
00:14:53 --> 00:14:55 That's so fucking it's such a fucking shame.
00:14:56 --> 00:14:59 But like the talk about the Gormans and like
00:14:59 --> 00:15:02 even going back to gay space rave and like the
00:15:02 --> 00:15:05 traditions of the Shandrillans. I really liked
00:15:05 --> 00:15:08 their incorporation of more for alien languages
00:15:08 --> 00:15:11 in Andorra, too, because like this is the most
00:15:11 --> 00:15:14 you get of isolated like alien languages in Star
00:15:14 --> 00:15:17 Wars. Like the Shrandrilan language is kind of
00:15:17 --> 00:15:20 annoying to me because it's just like alien words
00:15:20 --> 00:15:23 spoken in like an English accent, which is kind
00:15:23 --> 00:15:26 of grating to my ears sometimes. But I really
00:15:26 --> 00:15:28 liked how like. gorman is basically like space
00:15:28 --> 00:15:31 french like i had to tune my ears for a second
00:15:31 --> 00:15:33 because i really thought it was french the way
00:15:33 --> 00:15:35 that they speak it and like there was a couple
00:15:35 --> 00:15:38 of like lines that kind of lined up with french
00:15:38 --> 00:15:42 words so i think that it may have like like a
00:15:42 --> 00:15:44 French bass but like I really enjoyed hearing
00:15:44 --> 00:15:47 the Gorman language as like just a whole and
00:15:47 --> 00:15:48 you know even though I didn't like the way that
00:15:48 --> 00:15:50 it was pronounced I still liked getting to experience
00:15:50 --> 00:15:53 the um the fucking the Chandrila language too
00:15:53 --> 00:15:56 because what was it like Sangro Tima or something
00:15:56 --> 00:15:59 like that it was nice to see like The alien culture
00:15:59 --> 00:16:03 in Andor. Yeah, it was pretty cool. I did like
00:16:03 --> 00:16:07 the use of languages. I did like how the Gorman,
00:16:07 --> 00:16:10 you know, massacres essentially. Well, that wasn't
00:16:10 --> 00:16:12 even the Gorman massacre that came before, but
00:16:12 --> 00:16:14 like the Gormans are essentially, it was the
00:16:14 --> 00:16:17 French Revolution. I mean, they were just tying
00:16:17 --> 00:16:19 into that, right? Like you have the same kind
00:16:19 --> 00:16:23 of accents and whatnot. Similar. They're starving
00:16:23 --> 00:16:26 the people. They don't have enough. They're bringing
00:16:26 --> 00:16:29 in, you know, military, et cetera, et cetera.
00:16:29 --> 00:16:32 Yep. I thought that was cool. I want more spaceships.
00:16:32 --> 00:16:35 I love every time Andor was fucking around in
00:16:35 --> 00:16:37 a spaceship. I love spaceships. Bro, it just
00:16:37 --> 00:16:39 goes to show you how much of a badass fucking
00:16:39 --> 00:16:41 pilot he was. Because he was trained on a completely
00:16:41 --> 00:16:44 different ship. Ended up stealing the ship that
00:16:44 --> 00:16:46 he knew nothing about. And, like, by the time
00:16:46 --> 00:16:49 he gets to the planet where, like, Bix, Willman,
00:16:49 --> 00:16:52 and Brasso are. Like, he's fucking gunning it.
00:16:52 --> 00:16:54 Like, he sees the Star Destroyer in orbit. And
00:16:54 --> 00:16:56 he's like, nope, nosedive. And just fucking...
00:16:57 --> 00:17:00 blows up that contingent of stormtroopers that
00:17:00 --> 00:17:02 motherfucker is on his shit anytime he is behind
00:17:02 --> 00:17:06 the yoke of a of a vessel but damn that one stormtrooper
00:17:06 --> 00:17:08 who had good aim the one and only dude and you
00:17:08 --> 00:17:12 knew it too because like it focuses on him he's
00:17:12 --> 00:17:15 lining up the shot yeah everybody else is just
00:17:15 --> 00:17:18 like blasting you know and he's like nah nah
00:17:18 --> 00:17:21 nah let me uh let me wipe off my helmet visor
00:17:21 --> 00:17:24 real quick you know get a get the fog out of
00:17:24 --> 00:17:26 this bitch okay everybody else is hip firing
00:17:27 --> 00:17:29 It's like, what if I use the scope for once?
00:17:29 --> 00:17:33 What if? Exactly. This is, I really enjoy, like,
00:17:33 --> 00:17:36 okay, exotic. I gotta know, like, what is it
00:17:36 --> 00:17:39 about this series that you just do not like?
00:17:39 --> 00:17:42 Is it really just the fact that there's no Wookiee
00:17:42 --> 00:17:44 or Jedi or Wookiee Jedi to get your attention?
00:17:44 --> 00:17:47 Because, like, this was action -packed. This
00:17:47 --> 00:17:51 series is good. Well, first off, it's not Wookiee
00:17:51 --> 00:17:54 or Jedi. Only in combination do I care about
00:17:54 --> 00:17:56 it. But this, uh, I don't know. I just really
00:17:56 --> 00:17:59 couldn't get into it. It's like, season one was
00:17:59 --> 00:18:01 literally him trying to find his fucking sister,
00:18:01 --> 00:18:03 and we barely get hinted at it that he's even
00:18:03 --> 00:18:05 looking for her still. That kind of threw me
00:18:05 --> 00:18:08 for a loop. Space Rape, Rock, Paper, Scissors.
00:18:08 --> 00:18:11 Uh, those two kind of pissed me off. I think
00:18:11 --> 00:18:13 the only good thing that has ever come from this
00:18:13 --> 00:18:17 is K2. He's the only character I care about.
00:18:17 --> 00:18:20 He's not the only, I do love me some K2 and I
00:18:20 --> 00:18:22 love Alan Tudyk as his voice actor. But like,
00:18:22 --> 00:18:26 I'll side with you on like the space rape. I
00:18:26 --> 00:18:28 really wasn't into that. I saw it coming from
00:18:28 --> 00:18:31 a mile away, but still wasn't into it. The rock
00:18:31 --> 00:18:33 paper scissors thing was really fucking retarded.
00:18:33 --> 00:18:35 I can't say that, can I? It was really fucking
00:18:35 --> 00:18:37 stupid. It was redacted. It was, it was very
00:18:37 --> 00:18:40 fucking redacted. Absolutely. But the part about
00:18:40 --> 00:18:43 the sister kind of makes sense. Because first
00:18:43 --> 00:18:46 he was into it, and then I just imagine being
00:18:46 --> 00:18:50 pulled into a whole galaxy -wide rebellion cause
00:18:50 --> 00:18:52 is probably going to stop you at some point.
00:18:55 --> 00:18:57 The entire premise of season one, pretty much,
00:18:57 --> 00:18:59 was just him looking for his sister. And they
00:18:59 --> 00:19:01 just, like, abandoned it. It was not the entire
00:19:01 --> 00:19:03 premise of season one. It was the opening two
00:19:03 --> 00:19:06 episodes. And it was just, like, his original
00:19:06 --> 00:19:08 premise for what he was doing that led him into
00:19:08 --> 00:19:10 joining the Rebellion. Yeah, it gave you his
00:19:10 --> 00:19:12 M .O., and that was all it was meant to do, really.
00:19:13 --> 00:19:14 I don't know. It still kind of rubbed me the
00:19:14 --> 00:19:17 wrong way. I can see that, though. This series
00:19:17 --> 00:19:20 does have a habit of giving us little tendrils
00:19:20 --> 00:19:23 of certain plots that you may be interested in,
00:19:23 --> 00:19:24 and they just kind of tease you and then never
00:19:24 --> 00:19:26 bring them up again. You know, I bet a lot of
00:19:26 --> 00:19:28 things rub you the wrong way, Exotic. Probably
00:19:28 --> 00:19:31 your left hand for one. This Nikita guy rubs
00:19:31 --> 00:19:34 me every wrong way. Oh, I rub you everywhere.
00:19:35 --> 00:19:37 I said every wrong way. Yeah, I rub you every
00:19:37 --> 00:19:39 wrong way everywhere. I didn't say everywhere.
00:19:39 --> 00:19:42 You said I rub you. Every wrong way. But I rub
00:19:42 --> 00:19:45 you. Every wrong way. You're rubbed by me. You
00:19:45 --> 00:19:47 want to know what rubbed me the wrong way that
00:19:47 --> 00:19:49 I didn't think was going to fuck with me as much
00:19:49 --> 00:19:52 as it did for Andor? Fucking the actor for Bail
00:19:52 --> 00:19:56 Organa. I was expecting the guy from episode
00:19:56 --> 00:20:00 three and two, and I did not get him. He didn't
00:20:00 --> 00:20:02 even look the same. At all. I was like, whenever
00:20:02 --> 00:20:04 you first see him, I'm like, who the fuck is
00:20:04 --> 00:20:07 this? He says there's one scene where when Mon's
00:20:07 --> 00:20:08 about to give her speech, he's like, doesn't
00:20:08 --> 00:20:10 he say like, give him shit or give him hell or
00:20:10 --> 00:20:12 something like that like i forget what the line
00:20:12 --> 00:20:16 was but he says like a like a very earthly expletive
00:20:16 --> 00:20:19 that i've never heard in star wars before i was
00:20:19 --> 00:20:21 like oh he said the thing that's now star wars
00:20:21 --> 00:20:24 canon i was like damn they just really they broke
00:20:24 --> 00:20:27 andrew has been breaking some rules on him still
00:20:27 --> 00:20:31 like He was so much more stuck up than the actor
00:20:31 --> 00:20:35 we've had for two and three and other things.
00:20:35 --> 00:20:38 He's so much more just an entirely different
00:20:38 --> 00:20:41 personality, really. Okay, but I was okay with
00:20:41 --> 00:20:43 that. I felt like they stayed true to Bale still,
00:20:43 --> 00:20:45 because, like, you got to understand, like, beforehand,
00:20:45 --> 00:20:47 he's not under the pressure of, like, having
00:20:47 --> 00:20:50 to, like, he's definitely leading, like, underground
00:20:50 --> 00:20:51 movements, right? Because he's trying to get,
00:20:51 --> 00:20:53 like, Senate approval. But he's not doing it
00:20:53 --> 00:20:55 on the grand scale, you know, as far as, like,
00:20:56 --> 00:20:58 treason and stuff. So I imagine, like, after
00:20:58 --> 00:21:00 a couple years, that kind of weighs on you. I
00:21:00 --> 00:21:02 was okay with how they portrayed him. It was
00:21:02 --> 00:21:04 the actor that I had the issue with. That's what
00:21:04 --> 00:21:09 I meant. Like, not the way he portrayed Bale's
00:21:09 --> 00:21:11 personality, but also, like, You know, he was
00:21:11 --> 00:21:15 in the Senate, like for the most part, he was
00:21:15 --> 00:21:18 countering most of Mon Mothma's like proposals
00:21:18 --> 00:21:20 and stuff to make it seem like they weren't,
00:21:20 --> 00:21:23 you know, related or working together. Yeah.
00:21:24 --> 00:21:27 And so like that was really the only reason that
00:21:27 --> 00:21:30 like when he opened up the floor to her. that
00:21:30 --> 00:21:32 they even allowed it in the first place because
00:21:32 --> 00:21:35 this whole time he had been like showing that
00:21:35 --> 00:21:38 he didn't really support her at all. And so they
00:21:38 --> 00:21:40 were like, why the fuck is he all of a sudden
00:21:40 --> 00:21:42 letting her on the floor? She must have something
00:21:42 --> 00:21:44 interesting to say. But then after that, the
00:21:44 --> 00:21:47 fact that he didn't get like last, you know,
00:21:47 --> 00:21:49 like why did nothing happen to him after that?
00:21:49 --> 00:21:51 That was so weird. Because he's not necessarily
00:21:51 --> 00:21:53 liable for what she said. He, I mean, he could
00:21:53 --> 00:21:54 have definitely been like, I didn't know she
00:21:54 --> 00:21:57 was going to do that. That'd be especially like
00:21:57 --> 00:21:59 what you just said. You know, he could be like,
00:21:59 --> 00:22:01 I mean, this is the empire like he'd be dead
00:22:01 --> 00:22:05 in a week. Right. Like I did love that his his
00:22:05 --> 00:22:07 because he's getting, you know, insider intel.
00:22:07 --> 00:22:10 I love that the fucking team that he pulls for
00:22:10 --> 00:22:14 her is compromised and he doesn't even find out
00:22:14 --> 00:22:17 until the meeting where Andor shows up and is
00:22:17 --> 00:22:20 just like, and your people were shit. Dude, I
00:22:20 --> 00:22:24 OK, what? Like I've always liked Cassian as a
00:22:24 --> 00:22:29 character, but like he was a real fucking homie
00:22:29 --> 00:22:32 that entire scene because he even said, he's
00:22:32 --> 00:22:33 like, I didn't agree with everything that Luthan
00:22:33 --> 00:22:37 did, but I knew Luthan had his heart in the right
00:22:37 --> 00:22:39 place for this movement the entire fucking time.
00:22:39 --> 00:22:41 He did not let them talk shit about his dead
00:22:41 --> 00:22:44 homie. That's a real one right there. That is
00:22:44 --> 00:22:47 a, Cassian is a real one. Facts. I will agree
00:22:47 --> 00:22:49 with that. Like, he did not let them drag his
00:22:49 --> 00:22:51 friend's name through the mud. He was like, you're
00:22:51 --> 00:22:52 not going to do that in front of me. Like, y
00:22:52 --> 00:22:53 'all can do that in close quarters. Not here.
00:22:54 --> 00:22:56 Not while I'm here. And I was like, that's a
00:22:56 --> 00:22:59 real one right there. There was some other stuff
00:22:59 --> 00:23:01 that I also wanted to mention that was just really
00:23:01 --> 00:23:03 cool. Like, okay, so you know, like the whole,
00:23:03 --> 00:23:06 what's the quote? Cool guys don't look at explosions.
00:23:06 --> 00:23:10 When fucking Bix gets her revenge on that Imperial
00:23:10 --> 00:23:13 interrogator and her and Cassie and her walk
00:23:13 --> 00:23:14 away from the building, you just see it fucking
00:23:14 --> 00:23:17 light up in the background. I was like, that's
00:23:17 --> 00:23:19 some cool shit. That was a cool shot. That was,
00:23:19 --> 00:23:22 that was really fucking cool. And I was, I was
00:23:22 --> 00:23:24 not expecting it to like go. I thought, honestly,
00:23:24 --> 00:23:26 that was a fever dream for a sec. I did too.
00:23:27 --> 00:23:28 I did too. I totally thought she was going to
00:23:28 --> 00:23:31 wake up and like, that was just a drug induced
00:23:31 --> 00:23:33 coma that she was in. He went for her fucking
00:23:33 --> 00:23:35 blood. Props to her. And then the other scene
00:23:35 --> 00:23:38 too, like the fucking, the KX droids, when they
00:23:38 --> 00:23:41 fucking got released in the Gorman Plaza, bro,
00:23:41 --> 00:23:43 they was. they was fucking them up like they
00:23:43 --> 00:23:46 was just chunking people like they were dolls
00:23:46 --> 00:23:50 oh man that one gorman front lady she fucking
00:23:50 --> 00:23:53 lands and snaps her neck that was fucking brutal
00:23:53 --> 00:23:57 that was um was that like cyril's like side interest
00:23:57 --> 00:23:59 one right or was that the other girl from the
00:23:59 --> 00:24:02 yeah yeah yeah okay it's kind of implied that
00:24:02 --> 00:24:05 like cyril had a side chick that was in the the
00:24:05 --> 00:24:08 gorman uh resistance right the one girl that
00:24:08 --> 00:24:11 he meets up with and she like fucking slaps him
00:24:11 --> 00:24:13 and i didn't think that that was implied but
00:24:13 --> 00:24:16 i'm also autistic as shit so i told because this
00:24:16 --> 00:24:20 like for two episodes before that like he's becoming
00:24:20 --> 00:24:23 more and more distrustful of deidra and the empire
00:24:23 --> 00:24:27 and then The next episode, they show him meeting
00:24:27 --> 00:24:30 up with a girl in secret and she just fucking
00:24:30 --> 00:24:33 like slaps the shit out of him. And I felt like
00:24:33 --> 00:24:35 it was implied that they were like, or they were
00:24:35 --> 00:24:39 maybe not involved, but like. getting there like
00:24:39 --> 00:24:41 working towards that like i felt like he was
00:24:41 --> 00:24:43 going to leave deidre at that point and you know
00:24:43 --> 00:24:45 was potentially going to her and it just got
00:24:45 --> 00:24:48 all fucked up because of everything that you
00:24:48 --> 00:24:51 know he helped be a part of um it was very open
00:24:51 --> 00:24:53 -ended because it was just that that brief scene
00:24:53 --> 00:24:57 but i do feel like as part of his like this is
00:24:57 --> 00:24:59 fucked up what we're doing come to jesus moment
00:24:59 --> 00:25:04 or come to mortis moment uh that you know he
00:25:04 --> 00:25:07 was like gonna leave Deidre because then he does
00:25:07 --> 00:25:09 he leaves Deidre for the the Gorman resistance
00:25:09 --> 00:25:12 and he goes to join them in the fucking square
00:25:12 --> 00:25:14 but then he sees Andor and he he gets pissed
00:25:14 --> 00:25:16 the fuck off at Andor because he's like you ruined
00:25:16 --> 00:25:19 my goddamn life look where I am because of you
00:25:19 --> 00:25:22 I'm stuck in this shitty mess because you fucked
00:25:22 --> 00:25:24 up my life which I mean He fucked up his own
00:25:24 --> 00:25:27 life. We all know, but like, but I mean, he,
00:25:27 --> 00:25:30 look, he met Andor and immediately the problem
00:25:30 --> 00:25:32 was solved because he no longer had a life. So
00:25:32 --> 00:25:34 it worked out. Right. And I love that. It was
00:25:34 --> 00:25:37 the, the bellhop that killed him. Right. It wasn't
00:25:37 --> 00:25:39 that. No, it was the, yeah, it was the, it was
00:25:39 --> 00:25:41 the, yeah. His daughter had just, his daughter
00:25:41 --> 00:25:43 was the bitch who got flung to infinity and beyond.
00:25:43 --> 00:25:47 Yeah. Yeah. But, uh, you know, going back to
00:25:47 --> 00:25:49 that whole scene was great. Cause like, you see
00:25:49 --> 00:25:53 like when. Dedrick gives the call to go ahead
00:25:53 --> 00:25:56 and proceed with like their plan. Like she knows
00:25:56 --> 00:25:58 that she's damned herself. You can see it in
00:25:58 --> 00:26:01 her eyes. Then you have like Cyril coming to
00:26:01 --> 00:26:04 the realization of, you know, what the empire
00:26:04 --> 00:26:07 really is all too late in the middle of it. And
00:26:07 --> 00:26:09 he's having like this star struck moment while
00:26:09 --> 00:26:11 everyone around him is, you know, literally being
00:26:11 --> 00:26:14 shot and killed and trampled and all that shit.
00:26:14 --> 00:26:18 And he's just having this like. semi -lucid moment
00:26:18 --> 00:26:21 in the middle of all of it i i thought that the
00:26:21 --> 00:26:25 the work that they did with like scene transitions
00:26:25 --> 00:26:28 like going between what's going on the empire
00:26:28 --> 00:26:30 what's going on with the rebellion with cassia
00:26:30 --> 00:26:32 with cyril with these characters the way that
00:26:32 --> 00:26:34 they transition through the moments so you can
00:26:34 --> 00:26:37 see these characters and like maybe not know
00:26:37 --> 00:26:39 exactly what they're thinking but seeing what
00:26:39 --> 00:26:41 they're thinking on their faces i love that stuff
00:26:41 --> 00:26:45 like i i love i love watching cyril basically
00:26:45 --> 00:26:48 realize that like the beast that he's kind of
00:26:48 --> 00:26:51 tried to feed and nurture and help grow and prosper
00:26:51 --> 00:26:54 everything that he thought it was he just realized
00:26:54 --> 00:26:56 oh this is nothing that i thought it was and
00:26:56 --> 00:26:59 all too late because what not five minutes after
00:26:59 --> 00:27:01 he catches a fucking blaster bolt to the fucking
00:27:01 --> 00:27:04 dome you know leopards ate my face you know that
00:27:04 --> 00:27:08 subreddit crazy there's just this series is is
00:27:08 --> 00:27:11 is too good for me to just let you slide idly
00:27:11 --> 00:27:13 by exotic and call it trash like it's so good
00:27:13 --> 00:27:15 i don't know i feel like it just jumps around
00:27:15 --> 00:27:18 too much in my opinion It's just like they start
00:27:18 --> 00:27:21 on like one plot and then before it like actually
00:27:21 --> 00:27:23 has like a official ending, it just jumps to
00:27:23 --> 00:27:24 a different one and then jumps to a different
00:27:24 --> 00:27:26 one and jumps to a different one. I don't know.
00:27:26 --> 00:27:29 I feel like if they just made it longer and delved
00:27:29 --> 00:27:32 deeper into each like different sections of the
00:27:32 --> 00:27:33 plot, I think it would be a little bit better.
00:27:33 --> 00:27:35 But I don't know. I do agree. I was a little
00:27:35 --> 00:27:38 like it was definitely jarring going from like
00:27:38 --> 00:27:40 the first three and then like the next three.
00:27:40 --> 00:27:43 And I'm like, what the fuck happened? Both my
00:27:43 --> 00:27:45 wife and I were like, bro, what the? fuck is
00:27:45 --> 00:27:48 going on we had to go back and make sure we hadn't
00:27:48 --> 00:27:51 missed an episode yeah it's just like um it's
00:27:51 --> 00:27:53 hard to keep up with in my opinion i don't know
00:27:53 --> 00:27:56 i will say i didn't like the after each triplet
00:27:56 --> 00:27:58 the time skip like i i i wasn't a big fan of
00:27:58 --> 00:28:00 that i'll give it that okay i guess they were
00:28:00 --> 00:28:02 like they just kind of tried to crunch it in
00:28:02 --> 00:28:05 to just a few episodes and it just didn't work
00:28:05 --> 00:28:07 in my opinion there's still i mean it got us
00:28:07 --> 00:28:10 to rogue one Which I'm assuming was the point
00:28:10 --> 00:28:12 because they weren't doing a season three. Yeah,
00:28:12 --> 00:28:16 I think it ends like five days before the plot
00:28:16 --> 00:28:18 of Rogue One or something like that. Well, no,
00:28:18 --> 00:28:21 he literally is leaving to go meet with the guy
00:28:21 --> 00:28:24 that he kills at the beginning of Rogue One,
00:28:25 --> 00:28:27 right? I still think that was a couple of days
00:28:27 --> 00:28:30 between, though. They said the guy is there right
00:28:30 --> 00:28:32 now and he's going to leave in like X number
00:28:32 --> 00:28:36 of hours. Yeah, it leads directly into the opening
00:28:36 --> 00:28:39 of Rogue One. Same way that Rogue One leads into
00:28:39 --> 00:28:42 the opening of episode four. Oh, that's cool.
00:28:42 --> 00:28:44 I thought it was a couple of days. Yeah, so we
00:28:44 --> 00:28:47 know exactly. You could go straight from Andor
00:28:47 --> 00:28:49 Season 2 to watching Rogue One, and there would
00:28:49 --> 00:28:52 be no loss of time for you just watching it straight
00:28:52 --> 00:28:54 through. That's why I recommended this one to
00:28:54 --> 00:28:56 Anna, because that's exactly what I'm going to
00:28:56 --> 00:28:58 do with her. As soon as she finishes Andor Season
00:28:58 --> 00:29:00 2, we're starting Rogue One. That's what we did.
00:29:00 --> 00:29:04 I watched Rogue One with my wife right after.
00:29:04 --> 00:29:06 All right, I got some other honorable mentions,
00:29:06 --> 00:29:09 and then I won't keep y 'all that much longer.
00:29:09 --> 00:29:12 So one, I think the number one honor... honorable
00:29:12 --> 00:29:16 mention for this entire series is Cyril absolutely
00:29:16 --> 00:29:21 giving the hands to Kassadin. Like, sir, Mr.
00:29:21 --> 00:29:24 Cyril, I was unfamiliar with your game. I'm sorry
00:29:24 --> 00:29:26 for thinking that just because you've been a
00:29:26 --> 00:29:27 pencil pusher your entire life that you could
00:29:27 --> 00:29:31 not swing those two -piece combos at Andor. He
00:29:31 --> 00:29:34 was laying into that bitch. He was laying into
00:29:34 --> 00:29:37 Andor. I'm not gonna lie. I mean, like you said,
00:29:37 --> 00:29:39 we don't know what happens when Deidre turns
00:29:39 --> 00:29:42 the lights out. Bro, he was giving fucking hands
00:29:42 --> 00:29:45 to Andor. Cassian was getting his shit rocked.
00:29:45 --> 00:29:48 Yeah, no, for real though. Cassian for sure got
00:29:48 --> 00:29:52 Deus Ex Machina or Deus Ex Blasterina or whatever.
00:29:53 --> 00:29:56 Because Cyril was going to win that 1v1. I mean,
00:29:56 --> 00:29:59 he did. He had the blaster. Andor was dead to
00:29:59 --> 00:30:02 rights. Well, he was lowering it, though. I don't
00:30:02 --> 00:30:04 know if you noticed that. He was lowering it
00:30:04 --> 00:30:04 and it got shot. Well, yeah, because he was confused,
00:30:05 --> 00:30:06 because he was like, what do you mean you don't
00:30:06 --> 00:30:10 know who the fuck I am? But, like, I still think
00:30:10 --> 00:30:11 he would have been like, you know what, fuck
00:30:11 --> 00:30:14 this guy. The music for Andor was also, every
00:30:14 --> 00:30:16 time you heard them violins, it was a beautiful
00:30:16 --> 00:30:18 fucking scene. Like, every time, without fail.
00:30:18 --> 00:30:21 The composer, I don't think, was it, did John,
00:30:21 --> 00:30:22 John Williams didn't compose for this, did he?
00:30:22 --> 00:30:26 Dude, the Chandrilan fucking, the rave was a
00:30:26 --> 00:30:28 bop. Yeah, the music was on point. That was some
00:30:28 --> 00:30:30 fucking music. The music was on point. I mean,
00:30:30 --> 00:30:32 you know me, I only listen to electronic, so
00:30:32 --> 00:30:35 I was just like, hmm, fully hard. I started voguing
00:30:35 --> 00:30:37 with them, like, that when them scenes came on,
00:30:37 --> 00:30:39 I was standing up. I was like, uh -huh, let's
00:30:39 --> 00:30:42 get it. I was out loud. I was like, okay, Star
00:30:42 --> 00:30:45 Wars. Okay, Andor. I see you. It was great. I
00:30:45 --> 00:30:48 loved it. That's one thing that Disney has been
00:30:48 --> 00:30:51 pretty good at is soundtracks in all of these
00:30:51 --> 00:30:54 series and everything that they're doing has
00:30:54 --> 00:30:56 been pretty good. Yeah, music team on point.
00:30:56 --> 00:31:00 10 out of 10, always. Then another one. um that
00:31:00 --> 00:31:02 i thought was another scene i thought was like
00:31:02 --> 00:31:05 really fucking cool was the scene where dedra
00:31:05 --> 00:31:08 finally confronts luthen and he he what's it
00:31:08 --> 00:31:12 called seppuku's himself or whatever sudoku he
00:31:12 --> 00:31:14 commits sudoku you know i mean he could have
00:31:14 --> 00:31:16 done a better job he definitely could have but
00:31:16 --> 00:31:19 like the fact that he the way he let it in with
00:31:19 --> 00:31:22 like there's two items in here that are of you
00:31:22 --> 00:31:24 know questionable origin and then he has the
00:31:24 --> 00:31:27 knife with him and the second she pulls out the
00:31:27 --> 00:31:31 imperial like star navigator device or whatever
00:31:31 --> 00:31:34 it's called he he turns around i was like oh
00:31:34 --> 00:31:37 he gonna do it ain't he i knew exactly what he
00:31:37 --> 00:31:39 was leading to when he when he pulled that shit
00:31:39 --> 00:31:43 out i was like oh And I'm really, I'm actually
00:31:43 --> 00:31:46 really glad they finally explained the background
00:31:46 --> 00:31:48 of, like, Clea. Because I thought they was fucking.
00:31:48 --> 00:31:50 I'm not gonna lie. I thought they was fucking
00:31:50 --> 00:31:52 at first. And then I was like, oh, she's, like,
00:31:52 --> 00:31:54 his daughter. I thought, I thought that was kind
00:31:54 --> 00:31:56 of clear the whole time. Because, like, why else
00:31:56 --> 00:31:59 would she stick with him when everyone else has
00:31:59 --> 00:32:01 left? Just because, like, she's manning the fucking
00:32:01 --> 00:32:04 radio. Hey, look, pussies made me do some crazy
00:32:04 --> 00:32:06 things. You never know. I needed that explained
00:32:06 --> 00:32:09 to me. They were never, like, shown in any kind
00:32:09 --> 00:32:11 of, like, romantic. There wasn't even like a
00:32:11 --> 00:32:14 hint of romantic tension or anything there. I
00:32:14 --> 00:32:18 mean, you could say the same about Jin and Cassian.
00:32:18 --> 00:32:19 I mean, they wasn't fucking, but they still kissed
00:32:19 --> 00:32:21 at the end. No, they didn't. I thought they kissed
00:32:21 --> 00:32:23 at the end of Rogue One before the annihilation.
00:32:23 --> 00:32:26 They hugged before they died, but they absolutely
00:32:26 --> 00:32:29 did not kiss. And I think that was good because
00:32:29 --> 00:32:32 I don't think there was ever any romantic like.
00:32:32 --> 00:32:34 anything between them and i'm glad they did it
00:32:34 --> 00:32:37 that way because we knew up until like the events
00:32:37 --> 00:32:40 of rogue one that cassian still just wanted to
00:32:40 --> 00:32:45 be back with bix yeah okay yeah i'm i'm remembering
00:32:45 --> 00:32:46 the scene more i thought they had kissed it was
00:32:46 --> 00:32:49 just a hug yeah no it was more just like we're
00:32:49 --> 00:32:51 about to die holy shit oh speaking of which was
00:32:51 --> 00:32:54 that cassian's baby at the end yeah yeah okay
00:32:54 --> 00:32:57 yes you got cassian too it was supposed to make
00:32:57 --> 00:33:00 it hit a little harder and like if she had said
00:33:00 --> 00:33:02 something he would have If she had ever once
00:33:02 --> 00:33:04 told him, and that's why Vel said he needed to
00:33:04 --> 00:33:07 talk to her, because Vel wanted him to learn
00:33:07 --> 00:33:10 about the kid and go be with Bix. But Cassian,
00:33:10 --> 00:33:13 you know, was married to his job. He believed
00:33:13 --> 00:33:16 in, you know, the rebellion, right? And it was
00:33:16 --> 00:33:18 meant to hurt like that much more. It was like...
00:33:18 --> 00:33:21 If he if she had ever asked him to leave, he
00:33:21 --> 00:33:23 would have. And he even said, like, that's the
00:33:23 --> 00:33:24 whole reason she left in the first place was
00:33:24 --> 00:33:28 because he would have left for her. And she knew
00:33:28 --> 00:33:30 that the rebellion needed him. It's another.
00:33:30 --> 00:33:33 And you see that teen that like the the lady,
00:33:33 --> 00:33:36 the force healer lady who like gives him the
00:33:36 --> 00:33:38 nod at the end. Dude, that gave me chills. I
00:33:38 --> 00:33:40 almost teared up when she did that because we
00:33:40 --> 00:33:43 all know like she knew and she told him like.
00:33:44 --> 00:33:46 Everything in your life is leading up to one
00:33:46 --> 00:33:49 point. There's one place where you need to be
00:33:49 --> 00:33:52 at the right time. And we learned, basically,
00:33:52 --> 00:33:54 that the Force essentially was guiding Cassian.
00:33:55 --> 00:33:58 And when he's walking away for his last hoorah,
00:33:59 --> 00:34:02 she gives him the nod like she knows what's coming.
00:34:02 --> 00:34:04 And she knows that he's going to be there at
00:34:04 --> 00:34:07 the proper time, the right moment, to bring about
00:34:07 --> 00:34:09 the end of the Empire. Because that was the beginning
00:34:09 --> 00:34:11 of the end for them. But let Exotic tell it,
00:34:11 --> 00:34:14 it ain't a good story. bro i had dude that that
00:34:14 --> 00:34:17 scene i was i had so many chills i was like wow
00:34:17 --> 00:34:21 that was some great fucking like early foreshadowing
00:34:21 --> 00:34:23 and then like right before he heads off it's
00:34:23 --> 00:34:26 just like the this is where you needed to be
00:34:26 --> 00:34:29 bro that was so good that it was something about
00:34:29 --> 00:34:31 that imperceptible head nod you were just like
00:34:31 --> 00:34:34 and then i guess the last honorable mention that
00:34:34 --> 00:34:38 i have oh man dude i can't the the cackle that
00:34:38 --> 00:34:42 i let out when i saw Dedra at the end in her
00:34:42 --> 00:34:46 prison whites on the same fucking station. Narkina.
00:34:46 --> 00:34:49 Narkina. Yeah. Her getting fucked. Just the thought
00:34:49 --> 00:34:53 of her getting fucking fried. Oh my God. She
00:34:53 --> 00:34:55 got what she deserved. She got what she fucking
00:34:55 --> 00:35:00 deserved. Yeah, that's about all I had to mention
00:35:00 --> 00:35:04 about Andor. If I had to rate Andor as Season
00:35:04 --> 00:35:09 2 as a whole, I'm going to give it a 9 .2. Andor,
00:35:09 --> 00:35:12 if you count Season 1 and Season 2 leading up
00:35:12 --> 00:35:14 to Rogue One and counting all three of those
00:35:14 --> 00:35:17 pieces as one thing, I'm giving it a straight
00:35:17 --> 00:35:21 up 9 .6. Andor, Season 2, and Rogue One is probably
00:35:21 --> 00:35:26 the best collective and succinct. Star Wars timeline
00:35:26 --> 00:35:30 progression that we have in the entirety of the
00:35:30 --> 00:35:32 Star Wars universe as far as media is concerned.
00:35:32 --> 00:35:35 I absolutely love it. I think it was done masterfully,
00:35:35 --> 00:35:40 both cinematographically... God, that's such
00:35:40 --> 00:35:43 a fucking hard word. Music score -wise, acting
00:35:43 --> 00:35:46 and actor choices, I thought it was fantastic.
00:35:46 --> 00:35:49 Diego Luna as an executive producer, fantastic.
00:35:50 --> 00:35:54 I love Andor. Andor is the best that... star
00:35:54 --> 00:35:57 wars has to offer period just as star wars not
00:35:57 --> 00:36:00 separating it like disney or or you know legends
00:36:00 --> 00:36:03 or what came before a certain time period it's
00:36:03 --> 00:36:05 just the best star wars has to offer right now
00:36:05 --> 00:36:07 i truly stand behind that and believe it even
00:36:07 --> 00:36:11 with the mando fucking boner that i have i still
00:36:11 --> 00:36:14 agree honestly i give it a 9 .7 and i'm only
00:36:14 --> 00:36:16 taking the point like the total the totality
00:36:16 --> 00:36:19 i'm only taking the 0 .3 off because when we
00:36:19 --> 00:36:22 went back and watched rogue one those k2 droids
00:36:22 --> 00:36:25 We're fucking paper mache compared to the ones
00:36:25 --> 00:36:27 in the Gorman Plaza. You know what? That bothered
00:36:27 --> 00:36:31 me. Like the ones that they fight on. Was it?
00:36:31 --> 00:36:34 What was the? Oh, God. Jetta? Jetta. The ones
00:36:34 --> 00:36:36 that are on Jetta. Like those shits were paper
00:36:36 --> 00:36:39 mache compared to the ones in the Gorman Plaza.
00:36:39 --> 00:36:41 The Gorman Plaza ones, like they basically were
00:36:41 --> 00:36:44 made out of Beskar. Those ones were just like
00:36:44 --> 00:36:47 regular as droids. And like we saw that was that's
00:36:47 --> 00:36:50 part of why I was so like confused when. they
00:36:50 --> 00:36:53 were using the K2 droids for the cleanup on the
00:36:53 --> 00:36:55 Night of a Thousand Tears, like, when they burned
00:36:55 --> 00:36:58 Mandalore. Like, I'm like, why are you sending
00:36:58 --> 00:37:01 those fucking shitty ass, like, okay, the Mandos
00:37:01 --> 00:37:03 could beat those droids, like, even if, you know,
00:37:03 --> 00:37:06 they're... planet got glass like they could have
00:37:06 --> 00:37:08 beat up some of those droids but then seeing
00:37:08 --> 00:37:10 them in the plaza i was like oh shit that's why
00:37:10 --> 00:37:13 it just bothered me going back to rogue one and
00:37:13 --> 00:37:15 just they were just side pieces it's probably
00:37:15 --> 00:37:16 because it was early on for disney because what
00:37:16 --> 00:37:19 rogue one was 16 right yeah it's just i was just
00:37:19 --> 00:37:22 like damn like they really nerfed or you know
00:37:22 --> 00:37:25 maybe the the empire just kind of cheaped out
00:37:25 --> 00:37:28 on k2 droids after you know the initial run or
00:37:28 --> 00:37:30 something i don't know but like It was just a
00:37:30 --> 00:37:32 little, that was the only thing that bothered
00:37:32 --> 00:37:35 me the whole time we went back and watched Rogue
00:37:35 --> 00:37:37 One after watching Andor season one and two.
00:37:37 --> 00:37:40 That would make sense timeline wise though, because
00:37:40 --> 00:37:43 around episode four is when they start putting
00:37:43 --> 00:37:46 into the like Imperial Assassin droids. So maybe
00:37:46 --> 00:37:49 they scrapped the KX series and started pushing
00:37:49 --> 00:37:53 into IG. Maybe that's why. They probably had
00:37:53 --> 00:37:56 to cut some costs to wrap up the Death Star construction.
00:37:57 --> 00:37:59 Something like that. But yeah, that's basically
00:37:59 --> 00:38:02 my thoughts on Andor. What would you give it,
00:38:02 --> 00:38:03 Exotic? Are you sure you want to hear what I
00:38:03 --> 00:38:06 would give it? I want to hear what you give Andor
00:38:06 --> 00:38:11 Season 2 by itself, and then Andor Season 1,
00:38:11 --> 00:38:13 Andor Season 2, and Rogue One as a whole. What
00:38:13 --> 00:38:18 do you rate those two? season two like a 6 .2
00:38:18 --> 00:38:21 and like as like a whole of andor and rogue one
00:38:21 --> 00:38:23 or just andor all of andor and rogue one together
00:38:23 --> 00:38:28 uh like a 8 .5 you know what i'll take that rogue
00:38:28 --> 00:38:32 one like hard carries it but i'm okay with that
00:38:32 --> 00:38:33 that's better than what i was expecting to give
00:38:33 --> 00:38:37 like a four or five so a 6 .2 i'll take it yeah
00:38:37 --> 00:38:40 k2 uh carries season two quite quite heavily
00:38:40 --> 00:38:43 k2 was a really good addition i i really enjoyed
00:38:43 --> 00:38:46 that seeing that he's been fucking stressed out
00:38:46 --> 00:38:49 by meat bags from the get -go from his reprogramming
00:38:49 --> 00:38:52 and i love that they like incorporated the he's
00:38:52 --> 00:38:54 not allowed to have a blaster stuff and i was
00:38:54 --> 00:38:55 just i was also just really happy they brought
00:38:55 --> 00:38:57 alan tudyk back as i was worried like please
00:38:57 --> 00:38:59 don't change the voice actor please don't change
00:38:59 --> 00:39:01 the voice actor well everybody that has been
