The Force Unscripted, Episode 4 - Ahsoka Part 1

Join us as we dive into the new Disney Series "Ahsoka" and discuss the first 5 episodes in part 1 of this 2 part series for The Force Unscripted

00:00:26 --> 00:00:30 Welcome to The Force Unscripted. We are going
00:00:30 --> 00:00:34 to be recording our fourth episode of season
00:00:34 --> 00:00:37 one about Ahsoka. I'm super excited about this
00:00:37 --> 00:00:39 one. This is going to be a two -part series.
00:00:39 --> 00:00:42 So today is part one. We're going to discuss
00:00:42 --> 00:00:46 the episodes that have already been posted. And
00:00:46 --> 00:00:51 then we will do another part as soon as the season
00:00:51 --> 00:00:54 finale has concluded and follow up on all of
00:00:54 --> 00:00:57 our thoughts that we will discuss today. as well
00:00:57 --> 00:01:01 as other thoughts that we are going to have towards
00:01:01 --> 00:01:04 the end. I'm really excited about the Ahsoka
00:01:04 --> 00:01:05 series. It's something that I've been waiting
00:01:05 --> 00:01:09 for for a really long time. I know Wenqi is also
00:01:09 --> 00:01:12 really excited about this and we forced Bonk
00:01:12 --> 00:01:15 Bonk to watch the entire series also. He's got
00:01:15 --> 00:01:18 probably more questions than answers, but that's
00:01:18 --> 00:01:21 why we have him here to torture him with our
00:01:21 --> 00:01:25 abundance of Star Wars knowledge. But without
00:01:25 --> 00:01:28 further ado, ado uh let us go ahead and begin
00:01:28 --> 00:01:32 episode four ahsoka part one what's up winchy
00:01:32 --> 00:01:36 are you ready to discuss some uh some ahsoka
00:01:36 --> 00:01:39 stuffs yo yo yeah i'm ready let's do it i was
00:01:39 --> 00:01:42 behind the times on watching the episodes you
00:01:42 --> 00:01:45 know me i'm i'm always late but after i finished
00:01:45 --> 00:01:49 episode five i was just jaw down to the ground
00:01:49 --> 00:01:53 basically everything that i ever wanted has been
00:01:53 --> 00:01:55 in this show as far as star wars I was really
00:01:55 --> 00:02:01 happy to see Dave Filoni giving us the justice
00:02:01 --> 00:02:04 that we need, deserve, and love. That man is
00:02:04 --> 00:02:07 an absolute creative genius. Absolutely. This
00:02:07 --> 00:02:10 is all of his work culminating. We've seen Clone
00:02:10 --> 00:02:13 Wars for years and years, all the little bits
00:02:13 --> 00:02:17 and pieces, and now we finally see Anakin as
00:02:17 --> 00:02:20 Filoni envisioned him in the future after he
00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 died. This is awesome. And then Ahsoka's interaction.
00:02:24 --> 00:02:26 with him and all that kind of stuff it's great
00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 love it i'm gonna need you to uh to eat some
00:02:28 --> 00:02:32 of your words from uh the past episode i see
00:02:32 --> 00:02:35 that look on your face uh so so anakin didn't
00:02:35 --> 00:02:40 fulfill uh his destiny huh Okay, look, I eat
00:02:40 --> 00:02:43 it. I take it back. I said in the first podcast
00:02:43 --> 00:02:46 episode I was here that Anakin did not fulfill
00:02:46 --> 00:02:50 the prophecy. And I eat my words. I've seen Anakin
00:02:50 --> 00:02:53 as the force balanced. I've seen him in the world
00:02:53 --> 00:02:56 between worlds, controlling that place, in charge,
00:02:57 --> 00:02:59 being the teacher that he was supposed to be,
00:02:59 --> 00:03:02 the guiding force, one could say. I eat it all.
00:03:02 --> 00:03:06 I eat all the words. I believe that Anakin got
00:03:06 --> 00:03:09 the glow up. deserve one thing that I've always
00:03:09 --> 00:03:12 loved about Star Wars is in the original episode
00:03:12 --> 00:03:17 six when they're having the celebration on on
00:03:17 --> 00:03:20 the moon of Endor you see the original stand
00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 -in for Anakin the old guy and I loved the fact
00:03:23 --> 00:03:26 when they went back and remastered it that they
00:03:26 --> 00:03:30 put in Hayden because I think he always portrayed
00:03:30 --> 00:03:34 Anakin accurately and that was something that
00:03:34 --> 00:03:36 a lot of people did not agree with or they thought
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 that It was weird, but you see certain things
00:03:39 --> 00:03:43 like the cadence in which he speaks, the darkness
00:03:43 --> 00:03:46 in which he feels enveloped in, especially in
00:03:46 --> 00:03:49 episode three. And when Filoni joined the scene
00:03:49 --> 00:03:52 and gave us the Clone Wars, one thing that I've
00:03:52 --> 00:03:54 always mentioned is that you kind of understand
00:03:54 --> 00:03:57 why Anakin is the way he is. And that was something
00:03:57 --> 00:03:59 that they really showed off in episode five,
00:03:59 --> 00:04:03 too, with the war scenes, the live war scenes
00:04:03 --> 00:04:06 from Clone Wars where you see him. mean he's
00:04:06 --> 00:04:08 telling Ahsoka like I have to teach you to be
00:04:08 --> 00:04:10 a warrior this is this is just what the Jedi
00:04:10 --> 00:04:12 have become and this is what you must be and
00:04:12 --> 00:04:17 it's just you understand all the trials and tribulation
00:04:17 --> 00:04:20 that Anakin Skywalker went through from his pickup
00:04:20 --> 00:04:24 on Tatooine to images such as you know the battle
00:04:24 --> 00:04:28 of Ryloth that we see in the Ahsoka series but
00:04:28 --> 00:04:31 I think that Anakin definitely gets the glow
00:04:31 --> 00:04:34 up he deserves in this series post specifically
00:04:35 --> 00:04:38 post episode six, because for the longest time
00:04:38 --> 00:04:40 after episode six, you don't really see Darth
00:04:40 --> 00:04:43 Vader. I mean, even in like the movies. The one
00:04:43 --> 00:04:45 thing that I liked in Legends is that he comes
00:04:45 --> 00:04:48 and he tries to reconcile with Leia during the
00:04:48 --> 00:04:50 Truce at Bakura, for those of you, if you're
00:04:50 --> 00:04:52 interested in reading that book. And he appears
00:04:52 --> 00:04:54 to Leia, he's saying, you know, I know I've done
00:04:54 --> 00:04:57 a lot of messed up, you know, I know what I did
00:04:57 --> 00:04:59 as Vader. And I'm not saying that you have to
00:04:59 --> 00:05:02 forgive me, but I'm sorry. And that's really
00:05:02 --> 00:05:04 all you ever get of Anakin post episode six.
00:05:04 --> 00:05:07 episode six and i always wanted to see anakin
00:05:07 --> 00:05:09 as a force ghost because we see yoda twice we
00:05:09 --> 00:05:11 see obi -wan like three or four times but we
00:05:11 --> 00:05:13 never saw anakin outside of that one moment with
00:05:13 --> 00:05:16 leia and here i mean we got the we got the hello
00:05:16 --> 00:05:20 snips i was smiling at that the entire time we
00:05:20 --> 00:05:24 got to see vader with a human body in action
00:05:24 --> 00:05:27 like it's just it was it was everything that
00:05:27 --> 00:05:29 i had wanted for anakin skywalker all put in
00:05:29 --> 00:05:34 in one spot in a series that is created by one
00:05:34 --> 00:05:37 of the most imaginative and creative like star
00:05:37 --> 00:05:39 wars directors that i can think of at the moment
00:05:39 --> 00:05:41 and i just i loved it all sorry to run my mouth
00:05:41 --> 00:05:44 i just i i i fell in love with ahsoka as soon
00:05:44 --> 00:05:47 as episode one was over it's just it's been a
00:05:47 --> 00:05:50 great journey since so i got a question is anakin
00:05:50 --> 00:05:53 dead at the moment i'm i'm kind of confused by
00:05:53 --> 00:05:56 yes so this this takes place what was it like
00:05:56 --> 00:06:00 15 years plus yeah 10 plus good number of years
00:06:00 --> 00:06:02 after after episode six and that episode six
00:06:02 --> 00:06:05 is when he dies on the Death Star. So yeah, Anakin's
00:06:05 --> 00:06:06 been dead for a little bit. Gotcha. What was
00:06:06 --> 00:06:09 he using to talk to Ahsoka in that, by the way?
00:06:09 --> 00:06:11 I think you mentioned World Between Worlds. Is
00:06:11 --> 00:06:14 that what that was? Yeah, so that place where
00:06:14 --> 00:06:16 Ahsoka ends up, it's called the World Between
00:06:16 --> 00:06:19 Worlds. It's first seen in Rebels, and it's where
00:06:19 --> 00:06:21 Ezra goes, the person that they're looking for
00:06:21 --> 00:06:25 in Ahsoka. It's where Ezra goes. He goes to a
00:06:25 --> 00:06:27 temple, I believe it's on Lothal, right? And
00:06:27 --> 00:06:31 he sees the mural of the father, the son, and
00:06:31 --> 00:06:35 the daughter. of the the mortis gods and he finds
00:06:35 --> 00:06:37 he figures out the puzzle that's there and he
00:06:37 --> 00:06:38 finds his way into the world between worlds which
00:06:38 --> 00:06:42 is essentially a place outside of space and time
00:06:42 --> 00:06:45 and completely like created or embodied in the
00:06:45 --> 00:06:47 force which is also what we talked about previously
00:06:47 --> 00:06:51 when we were saying that kylo and ray their dyad
00:06:51 --> 00:06:53 connection allowed them to to kind of utilize
00:06:53 --> 00:06:56 that to to trade things between each other even
00:06:56 --> 00:06:58 though they weren't together or to see each other
00:06:58 --> 00:07:01 because the world between worlds can span space
00:07:01 --> 00:07:04 and time Ezra saves Ahsoka at one point from
00:07:04 --> 00:07:07 Vader actually by pulling her into the world
00:07:07 --> 00:07:10 between worlds while that she and Vader were
00:07:10 --> 00:07:11 fighting now one thing that we should mention
00:07:11 --> 00:07:14 though is the whole world between worlds with
00:07:14 --> 00:07:16 the Kylo and Rey aspect that's just speculation
00:07:16 --> 00:07:19 at the moment we don't actually know for sure
00:07:19 --> 00:07:21 that that's what they used to pass but that seems
00:07:21 --> 00:07:24 to be the most logical theory in my opinion as
00:07:24 --> 00:07:28 to how they could do that yeah same and so when
00:07:28 --> 00:07:30 when anakin's in there you know kind of like
00:07:30 --> 00:07:32 controlling what's going on it shows that he
00:07:32 --> 00:07:34 does have some some mastery over the place potentially
00:07:34 --> 00:07:37 even over the force since that is like a physical
00:07:37 --> 00:07:40 embodiment of somewhere in the force which is
00:07:40 --> 00:07:42 really cool uh the fact that the place is tied
00:07:42 --> 00:07:45 to the mortis gods kind of leans into the theory
00:07:45 --> 00:07:47 that he was supposed to replace the father and
00:07:47 --> 00:07:50 be you know the balance in the force and now
00:07:50 --> 00:07:53 that he has died he has taken up that role and
00:07:53 --> 00:07:55 we can see that because he he splits between
00:07:56 --> 00:08:00 Anakin and his Vader personas effortlessly within
00:08:00 --> 00:08:02 the world between worlds and isn't consumed by
00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 either of the sides. And he has actually brought
00:08:05 --> 00:08:08 balance to himself. And since he is the son of
00:08:08 --> 00:08:10 the force, he is bringing balance also to the
00:08:10 --> 00:08:12 force through the world between worlds. Another
00:08:12 --> 00:08:14 thing that I would like to mention too, is that
00:08:14 --> 00:08:17 as far as we've seen so far in the media for
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 Star Wars, the only people who are already in
00:08:21 --> 00:08:24 the world between worlds would be either the
00:08:24 --> 00:08:27 father the daughter or the son because we saw
00:08:27 --> 00:08:31 the daughter in the owl form flying around when
00:08:31 --> 00:08:35 ezra pulled in ahsoka so as far as we know the
00:08:35 --> 00:08:37 only people who are allowed to exist there as
00:08:37 --> 00:08:41 is always are those people so that even just
00:08:41 --> 00:08:43 i feel like that further enforces that theory
00:08:43 --> 00:08:46 that anakin has assumed the role of the father
00:08:46 --> 00:08:48 and i think that that is that's that's really
00:08:48 --> 00:08:50 cool because he was just already there he was
00:08:50 --> 00:08:52 he was chilling he was like hello snips what's
00:08:52 --> 00:08:55 up dude He's like, I didn't expect you so soon,
00:08:55 --> 00:08:57 which means he's been there for a hot minute,
00:08:57 --> 00:08:59 you know, waiting around. So that's kind of probably
00:08:59 --> 00:09:02 where he resides. And since Ahsoka at one point
00:09:02 --> 00:09:05 was dead and resurrected with the life force
00:09:05 --> 00:09:08 of the daughter, she would have some form of
00:09:08 --> 00:09:10 access to the place that, you know, other people
00:09:10 --> 00:09:12 wouldn't have, which kind of explains how she
00:09:12 --> 00:09:14 ended up there. Whether she was dragged there
00:09:14 --> 00:09:17 by Anakin or she put herself there, I still think
00:09:17 --> 00:09:19 she would be able to. I wonder if that means
00:09:19 --> 00:09:21 that the world between worlds kind of functions
00:09:21 --> 00:09:24 as like a force. bow too like if you become one
00:09:24 --> 00:09:26 with the force and become like a force ghost
00:09:26 --> 00:09:28 i wonder if that's your first pit stop before
00:09:28 --> 00:09:30 you fade into the force ether or whatever or
00:09:30 --> 00:09:32 if that's just it's not even a pit stop that's
00:09:32 --> 00:09:34 just where you end up it's where you chill forever
00:09:34 --> 00:09:36 then why haven't we seen anyone else though we
00:09:36 --> 00:09:39 we we might we haven't seen a ton of the force
00:09:39 --> 00:09:42 ghosts outside of of yoda and obi -wan so maybe
00:09:42 --> 00:09:45 qui -gon shows up that's my homie he he is the
00:09:45 --> 00:09:48 the jedi stoner pothead i don't care what anyone
00:09:48 --> 00:09:51 says that that is that is who qui -gon jinn was
00:09:51 --> 00:09:53 he was the fourth hippie you know when we see
00:09:53 --> 00:09:58 yoda in the last jedi i don't know yeah so we
00:09:58 --> 00:10:01 see yoda talking to luke and yoda is able to
00:10:01 --> 00:10:04 interact with the world around him even smacking
00:10:04 --> 00:10:07 luke in the face so he has some like physicality
00:10:07 --> 00:10:10 and we've seen anakin now being able to fight
00:10:10 --> 00:10:12 with ahsoka physically so potentially yoda's
00:10:12 --> 00:10:15 there as well he's able to access the same kinds
00:10:15 --> 00:10:17 of things maybe not as you know flawlessly as
00:10:17 --> 00:10:20 anakin does but you do it you do be doing it
00:10:20 --> 00:10:22 all right so let's go ahead and start some of
00:10:22 --> 00:10:25 this episode discussion. I'm really excited to
00:10:25 --> 00:10:28 get into it. One thing that I really want to
00:10:28 --> 00:10:31 kind of focus on for a little bit is the whole
00:10:31 --> 00:10:35 Sabine -Ahsoka situation. I think that it is
00:10:35 --> 00:10:40 absolutely hilarious that the first instance
00:10:40 --> 00:10:44 that we really see of Sabine and Ahsoka is Sabine
00:10:44 --> 00:10:46 just kind of being like, well, f*** what you're
00:10:46 --> 00:10:47 saying. I'm going to do what I want to anyway.
00:10:47 --> 00:10:50 I just know in my heart of hearts that Anakin
00:10:50 --> 00:10:52 and - Obi -Wan are watching somewhere, looking
00:10:52 --> 00:10:55 at Ahsoka, laughing their ass off because Obi
00:10:55 --> 00:10:58 -Wan's like, yeah, Anakin did that. Anakin's
00:10:58 --> 00:11:00 like, yeah, Ahsoka did that. Now Ahsoka's finally
00:11:00 --> 00:11:03 getting that, the whole legacy of that horse
00:11:03 --> 00:11:07 line. I love that. That was so funny to me. I
00:11:07 --> 00:11:09 was like, I know they're laughing at her. I know
00:11:09 --> 00:11:10 they're laughing at her. And it's a teaching
00:11:10 --> 00:11:13 moment, just like the Ryloth battle, because,
00:11:13 --> 00:11:15 you know, in the battle of Ryloth, she disobeyed
00:11:15 --> 00:11:17 her orders and went and did, you know, what she
00:11:17 --> 00:11:19 wanted and got a bunch of people killed. Well,
00:11:19 --> 00:11:21 Sabine, went you know off on her own did her
00:11:21 --> 00:11:24 own thing got herself stabbed and lost the the
00:11:24 --> 00:11:27 map and definitely a failure when you uh you
00:11:27 --> 00:11:29 don't prepare well to go do go off and do your
00:11:29 --> 00:11:31 own thing especially in sabine's case and she's
00:11:31 --> 00:11:34 like super force not sensitive and i guess you
00:11:34 --> 00:11:36 could you could also relate it even back farther
00:11:36 --> 00:11:39 past ahsoka to anakin also because technically
00:11:39 --> 00:11:41 the whole thing on geonosis was just him not
00:11:41 --> 00:11:43 listening to what he was supposed to be doing
00:11:43 --> 00:11:47 and messing up losing a hand like he just We'll
00:11:47 --> 00:11:50 take them together. No, now. Lose his hand. Oh,
00:11:50 --> 00:11:53 man. So one thing that I also wanted to talk
00:11:53 --> 00:11:56 about, too, was the first episode, I wasn't upset,
00:11:56 --> 00:12:00 but the scene where Balin and Shin infiltrate
00:12:00 --> 00:12:02 the New Republic ship, the fighting, specifically
00:12:02 --> 00:12:05 from Shin, was a little cringe. She seemed really
00:12:05 --> 00:12:07 stiff and inexperienced, which I guess makes
00:12:07 --> 00:12:10 sense because she is a learner. That is her master.
00:12:10 --> 00:12:14 But by the time Ahsoka versus Merak comes around
00:12:14 --> 00:12:17 and then all of the fights, after that I absolutely
00:12:17 --> 00:12:21 enjoyed the choreography of each of them they
00:12:21 --> 00:12:24 were very well written and especially all of
00:12:24 --> 00:12:27 Ahsoka's fights whether it's Ahsoka versus Merak
00:12:27 --> 00:12:30 Ahsoka versus Balin or Ahsoka versus Anakin I
00:12:30 --> 00:12:34 thought that she really did an amazing job at
00:12:34 --> 00:12:39 not only showing off her lightsaber skills that
00:12:39 --> 00:12:42 were from what she learned from Anakin from all
00:12:42 --> 00:12:43 the intensive training that he put him through
00:12:43 --> 00:12:47 but also you kind of see she's like kind of developed
00:12:47 --> 00:12:50 I wouldn't necessarily say her own style well
00:12:50 --> 00:12:53 I guess it would be her own style and how she
00:12:53 --> 00:12:58 uses it to not only outmaneuver but outsmart
00:12:58 --> 00:13:00 her opponents most times too like maybe not in
00:13:00 --> 00:13:02 the Balon fight but definitely in the Marok fight
00:13:02 --> 00:13:05 and for sure in the Anakin fight and I think
00:13:05 --> 00:13:07 the Balon fight's a little skewed in Balon's
00:13:07 --> 00:13:10 favor because she did grab the map and it did
00:13:10 --> 00:13:12 burn her hand pretty badly which she was holding
00:13:12 --> 00:13:15 her own up until that point and then after she
00:13:15 --> 00:13:16 burned her hand and couldn't hold her lightsaber
00:13:16 --> 00:13:19 in both hands, he was able to easily overpower
00:13:19 --> 00:13:22 her with his superior physique. Why wasn't she
00:13:22 --> 00:13:24 dual wielding from the start against Vaylin?
00:13:24 --> 00:13:27 My theory is that she was testing his abilities.
00:13:27 --> 00:13:29 And also she was trying to get to that map. So
00:13:29 --> 00:13:32 she needed a hand free. And since he is does
00:13:32 --> 00:13:34 seem to be such a powerhouse, she might not have
00:13:34 --> 00:13:36 felt like she could use her agility to its full
00:13:36 --> 00:13:38 potential because she was just going to get beat
00:13:38 --> 00:13:41 down. They did show that the both of them are
00:13:41 --> 00:13:44 very knowledgeable of their forms of their lightsaber
00:13:44 --> 00:13:47 forms. They they They switch up their forms to
00:13:47 --> 00:13:49 match the other person multiple times throughout
00:13:49 --> 00:13:51 the fight. You see that in their little, you
00:13:51 --> 00:13:54 know, dances slightly before they actually exchange
00:13:54 --> 00:13:57 blows. Ahsoka will change a stance and Balon
00:13:57 --> 00:13:59 will immediately, you know, counter with his
00:13:59 --> 00:14:02 own stance. That's them switching between the
00:14:02 --> 00:14:04 various stances and whatnot that actually counter
00:14:04 --> 00:14:07 the other person's lightsaber form. And they
00:14:07 --> 00:14:08 would have been trained that way, you know, since
00:14:08 --> 00:14:10 they were both trained by the Jedi in the Jedi
00:14:10 --> 00:14:12 Order. It was really cool to see two masters
00:14:12 --> 00:14:15 of, you know, lightsaber combat actually. showing
00:14:15 --> 00:14:18 off their skills and whatnot versus just Ahsoka
00:14:18 --> 00:14:21 and Merak, where Merak's just a resurrected Inquisitor
00:14:21 --> 00:14:24 looking dude. And they were trained specifically
00:14:24 --> 00:14:28 not to be too strong because Vader and Palpatine
00:14:28 --> 00:14:31 didn't want them to be too powerful and like
00:14:31 --> 00:14:32 try and come after them. So they gave them like
00:14:32 --> 00:14:35 moderate training and then spinny lightsabers
00:14:35 --> 00:14:37 to counter that. Obviously, the spinny lightsabers
00:14:37 --> 00:14:40 did not do much for them in Ahsoka's case. So
00:14:40 --> 00:14:43 Merak was the one that had the spinny lightsaber
00:14:43 --> 00:14:45 and then... got slashed and there was like a
00:14:45 --> 00:14:49 ghost coming out right yeah so there's um morgan
00:14:49 --> 00:14:52 elspeth uh she she mentioned that she's a descendant
00:14:52 --> 00:14:55 of the the witches of dathomir maul's brother
00:14:55 --> 00:14:58 savage had the same kind of thing going on and
00:14:58 --> 00:15:01 they were able to give maul legs back using the
00:15:01 --> 00:15:04 same kind of magic they use the force in a very
00:15:04 --> 00:15:07 different way than like the jedi and the the
00:15:07 --> 00:15:10 Sith do, but it is a force technique per se that
00:15:10 --> 00:15:13 they use to resurrect or animate bodies. So yeah,
00:15:13 --> 00:15:16 that was the green stuff coming out of him. Yeah,
00:15:16 --> 00:15:20 it's not Sith alchemy, but Sith alchemy came
00:15:20 --> 00:15:25 from it. It's basically all rooted in not necessarily
00:15:25 --> 00:15:30 solely force use, but force use and... because
00:15:30 --> 00:15:32 they are witches of alchemy, basically. Now,
00:15:32 --> 00:15:34 one thing that I did want to mention coming off
00:15:34 --> 00:15:40 that is, does that mean that Balin and Shin are
00:15:40 --> 00:15:43 dark Jedi and not Sith? Yes, they are not Sith.
00:15:43 --> 00:15:45 I don't think they are Sith. One thing that I
00:15:45 --> 00:15:50 noticed when Ahsoka and Balin were fighting is
00:15:50 --> 00:15:53 that if you look at his lightsaber, it's not
00:15:53 --> 00:15:56 so much red as it is orange. Have you noticed
00:15:56 --> 00:15:59 that? It's confirmed orange. Oh. said that it's
00:15:59 --> 00:16:02 orange yeah so and since we know that lightsabers
00:16:02 --> 00:16:04 typically the sith bleed them red Since they
00:16:04 --> 00:16:06 aren't red, that kind of, you know, indicates
00:16:06 --> 00:16:09 that they aren't fully Sith. They're just Jedi
00:16:09 --> 00:16:12 that use the dark side or, well, dark Jedi, basically.
00:16:12 --> 00:16:15 And we can see that in Balon's manner. He's not
00:16:15 --> 00:16:18 overly aggressive and vicious. He even doesn't
00:16:18 --> 00:16:20 really want to fight Ahsoka, where a Sith would
00:16:20 --> 00:16:22 just want to overpower her, show their dominance,
00:16:22 --> 00:16:24 that kind of thing. He's just got a mission and
00:16:24 --> 00:16:27 he's on a path. Just happens to involve using
00:16:27 --> 00:16:29 the dark side of the Force. One thing that I
00:16:29 --> 00:16:32 really appreciate about him, too, was to Sabine,
00:16:32 --> 00:16:34 he kept his word, too. he was like you know i'm
00:16:34 --> 00:16:36 gonna keep my word and i thought i thought that
00:16:36 --> 00:16:40 was very honorable granted bad guy sure but honorable
00:16:40 --> 00:16:43 bad guy which also you know reinforces the point
00:16:43 --> 00:16:45 that he's probably more of a dark jedi than a
00:16:45 --> 00:16:48 sith because a sith would absolutely just go
00:16:48 --> 00:16:50 back on their word and kill sabine immediately
00:16:50 --> 00:16:53 after acquiring the map which and that we kind
00:16:53 --> 00:16:55 of see that in shin shin tends towards the dark
00:16:55 --> 00:16:58 side more we can see her anger and her rage way
00:16:58 --> 00:17:01 more than balon who's very you know composed
00:17:01 --> 00:17:03 and collected do we just want want to chop that
00:17:03 --> 00:17:05 one up to teen angst we can i'm fine with that
00:17:05 --> 00:17:08 she got she got some issues i'm sure plenty of
00:17:08 --> 00:17:12 people think they can fix her oh man so is there
00:17:12 --> 00:17:16 any backstory on balan and shin or are they just
00:17:16 --> 00:17:19 introduced in this not not much we don't know
00:17:19 --> 00:17:23 shin's origins at all we do know that balan was
00:17:23 --> 00:17:26 a Jedi during the Clone Wars. Obviously, he escaped
00:17:26 --> 00:17:28 Order 66, but that's about all the information
00:17:28 --> 00:17:30 we have. We don't know anything about, you know,
00:17:30 --> 00:17:33 their assignments, their history as part of the
00:17:33 --> 00:17:35 Order. If Shin was potentially, which I think
00:17:35 --> 00:17:37 she's too young to have been a youngling at the
00:17:37 --> 00:17:41 Academy. Oh, definitely. So he had to find her
00:17:41 --> 00:17:43 somewhere and we have no clue at this point any
00:17:43 --> 00:17:45 of that history. If she was a youngling during
00:17:45 --> 00:17:47 the time of Order 66, that would put her in her
00:17:47 --> 00:17:49 like early 30s, early mid 30s. Yeah, she seems
00:17:49 --> 00:17:52 more like 20, 25, maybe. Maybe. she looks really
00:17:52 --> 00:17:54 young she could be adolescent honestly we don't
00:17:54 --> 00:17:56 really have the information to know i don't know
00:17:56 --> 00:17:59 her her manner of talking puts her a little bit
00:17:59 --> 00:18:02 older than maybe maybe anakin's age in like clone
00:18:02 --> 00:18:05 wars like 19 1920 yeah yeah were we still that
00:18:05 --> 00:18:11 cringe at 19 or 20 yes you absolutely oh whoa
00:18:11 --> 00:18:13 whoa whoa whoa whoa hold on i'm gonna i'm gonna
00:18:13 --> 00:18:16 need you to redact that statement sir i've never
00:18:16 --> 00:18:19 been unhinged i've always been the prime example
00:18:19 --> 00:18:23 of a upstanding young gentleman okay oh i'm sure
00:18:23 --> 00:18:27 i'm sure uh so another thing that i really wanted
00:18:27 --> 00:18:31 to to talk about too was jason of course we're
00:18:31 --> 00:18:33 not talking about jason solo like we were last
00:18:33 --> 00:18:36 episode we're talking about jason sindula first
00:18:36 --> 00:18:38 off tragic name sad for him because i feel like
00:18:38 --> 00:18:42 i i honestly hope that that's going to hint at
00:18:42 --> 00:18:44 maybe the path he's going down if it doesn't
00:18:44 --> 00:18:46 i'm cool with that also i just thought that the
00:18:46 --> 00:18:47 name was hilarious especially since the last
00:18:47 --> 00:18:49 episode we were talking about jason solo but
00:18:49 --> 00:18:53 what i really want to focus on is the fact that
00:18:53 --> 00:18:59 he was able to perceive The fight that Ahsoka
00:18:59 --> 00:19:02 and Anakin had in the world between worlds. From
00:19:02 --> 00:19:06 the physical world. Which I can't confirm this.
00:19:06 --> 00:19:09 But I'd like to think that that is some hint
00:19:09 --> 00:19:13 at his father. Because we all know that towards
00:19:13 --> 00:19:15 the end of his life. Kanan Jarrus got blinded
00:19:15 --> 00:19:17 and couldn't see. And I just think it's kind
00:19:17 --> 00:19:22 of ironic that his son can hear what he can't
00:19:22 --> 00:19:25 see. Even though it's not in the same dimension.
00:19:25 --> 00:19:29 And I think that shows. one, how naturally innate
00:19:29 --> 00:19:31 and intimate his connection to the Force is.
00:19:31 --> 00:19:34 But I would like to believe in my heart of hearts
00:19:34 --> 00:19:38 that that is like a sort of silent homage to
00:19:38 --> 00:19:40 Kanan Jarrus too. I didn't really thought of
00:19:40 --> 00:19:42 that. I hadn't thought of that angle about Kanan
00:19:42 --> 00:19:44 being, you know, blind and his son listening
00:19:44 --> 00:19:47 through the Force. And, you know, he's even able
00:19:47 --> 00:19:49 to like get Hera to hear through it as well.
00:19:49 --> 00:19:52 So it's definitely, definitely some, you know,
00:19:52 --> 00:19:54 some, some Force shenanigans going on on his
00:19:54 --> 00:19:56 side. Kind of, you know, further. confirms that
00:19:56 --> 00:20:00 what Anakin and Ahsoka are experiencing are real
00:20:00 --> 00:20:04 and not just a vision. or something that Ahsoka's
00:20:04 --> 00:20:06 conscious chalked up. I think it's really cool
00:20:06 --> 00:20:11 that Jason is able to make his mother kind of
00:20:11 --> 00:20:14 aware of the situation. I don't know if that's
00:20:14 --> 00:20:16 indicative of some kind of force power, but I
00:20:16 --> 00:20:18 would like to believe so because as far as we
00:20:18 --> 00:20:20 know, Hera Syndulla isn't a force sensitive,
00:20:21 --> 00:20:23 right? Yeah, we haven't seen her do anything
00:20:23 --> 00:20:26 force related, I don't think. So that would make
00:20:26 --> 00:20:30 me believe that maybe Jason also has some kind
00:20:30 --> 00:20:32 of power that - makes him like a conduit, you
00:20:32 --> 00:20:34 know, like. I don't know how else to describe
00:20:34 --> 00:20:36 it. Transitive property of the force, I guess.
00:20:37 --> 00:20:40 If he is aware of something, maybe he can make
00:20:40 --> 00:20:42 someone in his surrounding aware of it. There
00:20:42 --> 00:20:45 are thousands of different force powers that
00:20:45 --> 00:20:49 can manifest themselves. And I am really excited
00:20:49 --> 00:20:53 to see how his storyline progressed with the
00:20:53 --> 00:20:57 name he has. Because we all know Jason Solo was
00:20:57 --> 00:21:00 very gifted in the force. Now his stuff manifested
00:21:00 --> 00:21:03 more towards animals and plant life. stuff but
00:21:03 --> 00:21:06 by the time Darth Cadis comes around I mean the
00:21:06 --> 00:21:10 guy is very goddamn powerful in the force and
00:21:10 --> 00:21:13 just very strong can do can flow walk which is
00:21:13 --> 00:21:16 manipulating the flow of time and that's in itself
00:21:16 --> 00:21:20 is incredible and I feel like if that power presented
00:21:20 --> 00:21:23 itself in this timeline it would definitely somehow
00:21:23 --> 00:21:25 have to interact with the world between worlds
00:21:25 --> 00:21:28 and I feel like there's a lot of symbolism in
00:21:28 --> 00:21:33 this character And I really want to see where
00:21:33 --> 00:21:36 this character goes because I, I personally was
00:21:36 --> 00:21:40 not expecting, I didn't even know that. They
00:21:40 --> 00:21:43 had a kid. So getting to see Jason, knowing his
00:21:43 --> 00:21:45 name, knowing what he's already done so far in
00:21:45 --> 00:21:47 the series makes me really hopeful for this character.
00:21:47 --> 00:21:49 And I really want to see how this character develops.
00:21:49 --> 00:21:51 Wait, so you didn't watch the end of Rebels?
00:21:51 --> 00:21:53 Because he's there, right? Is he? If he is, I
00:21:53 --> 00:21:56 don't remember. I'm going to be honest. I think
00:21:56 --> 00:21:57 he's right at the very end. Yeah, I probably
00:21:57 --> 00:21:59 just missed that part. But I definitely didn't
00:21:59 --> 00:22:04 expect Hera and Kanan to have a non -Tweelek
00:22:04 --> 00:22:07 baby. That's all I'm going to say. Yeah, in Legends.
00:22:07 --> 00:22:11 Twi 'leks and humans could not have kids. So
00:22:11 --> 00:22:14 yeah, that was definitely a surprise. I guess
00:22:14 --> 00:22:17 a welcome one. It makes me sad for some of the
00:22:17 --> 00:22:20 characters in Legends who were together, Twi
00:22:20 --> 00:22:23 'leks and humans, and were depressed, basically,
00:22:23 --> 00:22:25 because they couldn't have kids. Watching other
00:22:25 --> 00:22:27 people around them have kids and wishing that
00:22:27 --> 00:22:29 they could have their own. Makes me sad for them,
00:22:29 --> 00:22:31 but kind of, you know, hopeful for as well, because
00:22:31 --> 00:22:33 it's cool that they can. Although it's weird
00:22:33 --> 00:22:35 that it comes out as human. Well, we also do
00:22:35 --> 00:22:38 see one other instance of a Twi 'lek and a human
00:22:38 --> 00:22:41 having a baby. During the Clone Wars, when the
00:22:41 --> 00:22:44 one Twi 'lek had a baby with Clone, there were
00:22:44 --> 00:22:49 two kids. No, it wasn't Clone Wars. It was Bad
00:22:49 --> 00:22:52 Batch. Oh. Basically, a clone and a Twi 'lek
00:22:52 --> 00:22:55 have two Twi 'lek kids that play with Omega.
00:22:55 --> 00:22:58 Aiden and Lasima, man. They didn't get the baby
00:22:58 --> 00:23:01 they deserved. Speaking of Mandalorians, let's
00:23:01 --> 00:23:04 talk about the Maldalorians. I know you want
00:23:04 --> 00:23:06 to talk about that for sure, so I'm going to
00:23:06 --> 00:23:08 let you take the reins here. They look so cool.
00:23:09 --> 00:23:12 The armor was great. I love the sound when lightsabers
00:23:12 --> 00:23:14 strike Beskar. It's such a satisfying sound.
00:23:15 --> 00:23:19 And Ahsoka pulling out all the stops. The actress
00:23:19 --> 00:23:22 for young Ahsoka was amazing with her lightsaber
00:23:22 --> 00:23:25 skills and movement fighting the Mandalorians.
00:23:25 --> 00:23:27 Taking out, what, I think five in that short
00:23:27 --> 00:23:30 little sequence. Totally awesome. Mandalorians
00:23:30 --> 00:23:32 are cool. And, I mean, Ahsoka's just better.
00:23:33 --> 00:23:36 Ahsoka has the highest body count of Mandalorians,
00:23:36 --> 00:23:40 I think, of anyone in Star Wars, besides, like,
00:23:40 --> 00:23:43 maybe Revan. He absolutely embarrassed Mandalore
00:23:43 --> 00:23:45 the Ultimate, so Ahsoka is definitely a close
00:23:45 --> 00:23:48 second for sure. I've seen some compilation videos
00:23:48 --> 00:23:52 of Ahsoka's, like, body count just for Mandalorians.
00:23:52 --> 00:23:56 It's great. She's a killer. She's insane. She,
00:23:56 --> 00:23:59 uh, you know, I was really happy to see not only
00:23:59 --> 00:24:02 the Battle of Ryloth, but the Siege of M - Mandalore
00:24:02 --> 00:24:06 as live action, because of all the stuff during
00:24:06 --> 00:24:08 the Clone Wars, those were, well, maybe not so
00:24:08 --> 00:24:10 much the Battle of Ryloth, but definitely the
00:24:10 --> 00:24:12 Siege of Mandalore is something that I wanted
00:24:12 --> 00:24:15 to see live action. Because when I watched the
00:24:15 --> 00:24:20 scene from Clone Wars, where Ahsoka goes there
00:24:20 --> 00:24:22 with like her special Ahsoka compliment of clone
00:24:22 --> 00:24:26 troopers, and she's just mid -air, like, I don't
00:24:26 --> 00:24:30 know, X thousand feet. In the sky, just hopping
00:24:30 --> 00:24:33 from plane to plane, not only killing Mandalorians,
00:24:33 --> 00:24:36 but saving clone troopers and then slides down
00:24:36 --> 00:24:39 on a platform to fight more Mandalorian. Like
00:24:39 --> 00:24:42 I just, I was so happy to see even just a glimpse
00:24:42 --> 00:24:45 of the Siege of Mandalore in live action form.
00:24:45 --> 00:24:47 It was great. It was perfect. It was, it was
00:24:47 --> 00:24:51 chef's kiss. It was well done. I may or may not
00:24:51 --> 00:24:54 have a bulge in my pants thinking about it. Like
00:24:54 --> 00:24:56 it is just, it's everything that I wanted. We
00:24:56 --> 00:24:59 rewatched that scene last night. so it's very
00:24:59 --> 00:25:03 fresh it was so good and when she lands on that
00:25:03 --> 00:25:06 platform in Clone Wars and just demolishes them
00:25:06 --> 00:25:11 looked away from the fight as Brick3PO has mentioned
00:25:11 --> 00:25:13 yesterday looked away from the fight from the
00:25:13 --> 00:25:16 Mandalorians who are trained like their whole
00:25:16 --> 00:25:19 people all their armor everything is meant to
00:25:19 --> 00:25:21 kill Jedi that's what their whole kit is for
00:25:21 --> 00:25:23 and she turns away from them and still smacking
00:25:23 --> 00:25:26 them down and I mean we see that here in in Ahsoka
00:25:26 --> 00:25:30 you know live action she's just whipping through
00:25:30 --> 00:25:32 them and it's great and then immediately after
00:25:32 --> 00:25:36 we see Rex compliment her that was so good their
00:25:36 --> 00:25:39 relationship is you know a big part of her story
00:25:39 --> 00:25:42 and Tamura did a great job even for just the
00:25:42 --> 00:25:44 moment that he was there and their armor looks
00:25:44 --> 00:25:49 so good. So good. Phase one, phase two. Phase
00:25:49 --> 00:25:51 one is my favorite Clone Armor. I want to see
00:25:51 --> 00:25:55 if the Ahsoka series does more flashback little
00:25:55 --> 00:25:58 tidbits of live action stuff. I hope they do.
00:25:58 --> 00:26:00 Because one thing that I always loved was the
00:26:00 --> 00:26:03 relationship between Rex and Ahsoka. You see
00:26:03 --> 00:26:05 at the end of the Clone Wars series, and you
00:26:05 --> 00:26:10 see again when they come back in Rebels together,
00:26:10 --> 00:26:14 their relationship. They never lost that bond,
00:26:14 --> 00:26:17 which was something that I absolutely loved about
00:26:17 --> 00:26:20 those two. two characters and it was great to
00:26:20 --> 00:26:23 not only see that but to also see kind of in
00:26:23 --> 00:26:28 like real time how far Ahsoka has grown like
00:26:28 --> 00:26:30 you get like a it's it's small but in that last
00:26:30 --> 00:26:33 episode you see her as like a kid how she's like
00:26:33 --> 00:26:36 hesitant in battle she's worried about everything
00:26:36 --> 00:26:39 that's going on around her she's very conscientious
00:26:39 --> 00:26:42 about the loss of life around her as like a Jedi
00:26:42 --> 00:26:45 should be then you see her again at the siege
00:26:45 --> 00:26:48 of Mandalore where she's just like she's on a
00:26:48 --> 00:26:50 mission she's like I know what I have to do I
00:26:50 --> 00:26:53 have to fight I have to get there and she's very
00:26:53 --> 00:26:55 determined there's no hesitation it's like she's
00:26:55 --> 00:26:59 lost all sort of restraints but then you think
00:26:59 --> 00:27:02 about the talk that her and Anakin are having
00:27:02 --> 00:27:05 and it's like at that moment during the Siege
00:27:05 --> 00:27:08 of Mandalore in my opinion at least and you may
00:27:08 --> 00:27:10 disagree with this she was kind of I don't want
00:27:10 --> 00:27:13 to say peak but she hadn't found out about Anakin
00:27:13 --> 00:27:16 being Darth Vader yet and she in her mind she
00:27:16 --> 00:27:19 had a clear goal that she wanted to achieve and
00:27:19 --> 00:27:22 she did not hesitate towards achieving that goal
00:27:22 --> 00:27:25 but then now that she's discussing things with
00:27:25 --> 00:27:27 Anakin she's finally trying to reach closure
00:27:27 --> 00:27:32 again you can see that there is hesitation there
00:27:32 --> 00:27:34 are doubts there is a lack of this bold confidence
00:27:34 --> 00:27:37 that she had during the siege of Mandalore that
00:27:37 --> 00:27:41 she seems to no longer have but then she does
00:27:41 --> 00:27:44 get the closure in which she's looking for and
00:27:44 --> 00:27:46 that's when you get Boom, Ahsoka the White. And
00:27:46 --> 00:27:50 I love it. In the fight against Maul in the Siege
00:27:50 --> 00:27:55 of Mandalore, she was 100 % Anakin's cocky, you
00:27:55 --> 00:27:58 know, Padawan, apprentice, whatever. She had
00:27:58 --> 00:28:01 his mannerisms. She had, you know, the comebacks
00:28:01 --> 00:28:04 and whatnot for Maul, the taunts, everything.
00:28:04 --> 00:28:07 That was totally Anakin's Padawan there. And
00:28:07 --> 00:28:10 yeah, we see her, you know, live action here.
00:28:11 --> 00:28:14 going ham on these Mandalorians. And then it's
00:28:14 --> 00:28:16 Anakin saying, you are all the parts of me. And
00:28:16 --> 00:28:19 she's saying, yeah, well, there's a really big
00:28:19 --> 00:28:22 part of you that was extremely evil. And he's
00:28:22 --> 00:28:25 like, that's in me too. And he goes, you know,
00:28:26 --> 00:28:27 you're not getting it. You don't understand.
00:28:27 --> 00:28:30 Back to the beginning. She doesn't understand
00:28:30 --> 00:28:32 that it's a choice. At that point, she thinks,
00:28:32 --> 00:28:34 you know, it's just part of her. She's felt this
00:28:34 --> 00:28:37 whole time that she abandoned Anakin. She abandoned
00:28:37 --> 00:28:40 him and he became Vader partially because she
00:28:40 --> 00:28:42 she left the order. She felt like she could have
00:28:42 --> 00:28:45 saved him and whatnot. And he's trying to show
00:28:45 --> 00:28:48 her here that it wasn't her fault. It was his
00:28:48 --> 00:28:51 choice. It was a part of him that made that choice
00:28:51 --> 00:28:53 to become Vader through all the interactions.
00:28:54 --> 00:28:58 And I think this was the confrontation that Ahsoka
00:28:58 --> 00:29:00 needed. She had fought Vader before, but it was
00:29:00 --> 00:29:04 full Vader having... as he would say, killed
00:29:04 --> 00:29:07 Anakin off. And now we have Anakin back, but
00:29:07 --> 00:29:10 with the parts of Vader that he, you know, still
00:29:10 --> 00:29:13 retains the skill, the power, the hunger for,
00:29:14 --> 00:29:17 you know, power, I guess. You know, he's definitely
00:29:17 --> 00:29:20 Anakin here that we see. And so she gets to fight
00:29:20 --> 00:29:22 him. She gets to, you know, fight Anakin as he
00:29:22 --> 00:29:25 would have been as Vader without all the suit
00:29:25 --> 00:29:28 and whatnot. But still retaining his cognition,
00:29:29 --> 00:29:32 his, you know, his actual balance or his... What
00:29:32 --> 00:29:34 is the word I said for Baylor? Composure. There
00:29:34 --> 00:29:37 we go. And she fights him and she wins. And which
00:29:37 --> 00:29:40 I really like because every single time we've
00:29:40 --> 00:29:43 seen Ahsoka drop her lightsabers, she wins the
00:29:43 --> 00:29:45 fight. Every single time Ahsoka has lost her
00:29:45 --> 00:29:48 lightsaber, she wins the fight. She grabs the
00:29:48 --> 00:29:50 other dude's lightsaber and takes it. She's done
00:29:50 --> 00:29:51 it to like two or three different Inquisitors
00:29:51 --> 00:29:54 now. She's a master at beating people without
00:29:54 --> 00:29:56 a weapon, which is awesome. And when she takes
00:29:56 --> 00:29:59 the weapon, she shoves it in Anakin's face and
00:29:59 --> 00:30:02 her eyes go yellow. And we see her. Show him
00:30:02 --> 00:30:05 that there is that dark in her and then choose
00:30:05 --> 00:30:07 to throw it away. She throws away the saber.
00:30:07 --> 00:30:10 She doesn't try and kill Vader, who she's fighting
00:30:10 --> 00:30:13 at that point. And she forgives him. She chooses
00:30:13 --> 00:30:16 that she wants to be someone who isn't dead to
00:30:16 --> 00:30:19 the light side of the force, which is how I kind
00:30:19 --> 00:30:21 of interpreted that life or death conversation.
00:30:21 --> 00:30:23 I definitely agree with that. And I thought that
00:30:23 --> 00:30:27 all of the symbolism there, there's just... There's
00:30:27 --> 00:30:29 so much from what I was talking about earlier
00:30:29 --> 00:30:34 with Jason, from seeing Anakin transition between
00:30:34 --> 00:30:38 Anakin and Vader, seeing Ahsoka's eyes go, you
00:30:38 --> 00:30:40 know, temporarily. What were they? Were they
00:30:40 --> 00:30:42 red or yellow? I couldn't remember. They were
00:30:42 --> 00:30:45 yellow. His were red, which is also symbolic.
00:30:46 --> 00:30:49 And on Musafar, his eyes are yellow. His eyes
00:30:49 --> 00:30:52 are going yellow. Every time we've seen Vader,
00:30:53 --> 00:30:55 his eyes were yellow. They were not red. The
00:30:55 --> 00:30:58 only person we've seen with red eyes like that
00:30:58 --> 00:31:01 is the son of the Mortis gods. He had full red
00:31:01 --> 00:31:03 eyes, which kind of further cements, in my mind,
00:31:03 --> 00:31:06 the theory that he is the balance taking the
00:31:06 --> 00:31:08 place of the father. Because here, his eyes go
00:31:08 --> 00:31:10 red. They don't go yellow. They go red, which
00:31:10 --> 00:31:13 is totally new for him, but not new for people
00:31:13 --> 00:31:16 associated with the Mortis gods, and in particular,
00:31:16 --> 00:31:18 the dark side of the Force. Going yellow shows
00:31:18 --> 00:31:22 that she has the potential to choose the dark
00:31:22 --> 00:31:26 side, not necessarily the power of the Mortis
00:31:26 --> 00:31:28 gods like Anakin has because they aren't red,
00:31:28 --> 00:31:30 but it shows that she does have the potential
00:31:30 --> 00:31:33 to be evil, but is not. She makes the choice
00:31:33 --> 00:31:35 to be Ahsoka the White, essentially, which is
00:31:35 --> 00:31:38 great. I love that all Star Wars fans have just
00:31:38 --> 00:31:41 been stealing from Lord of the Rings, just calling
00:31:41 --> 00:31:43 her Ahsoka the White, like all of them. Like
00:31:43 --> 00:31:46 everywhere I looked, everyone was like Ahsoka
00:31:46 --> 00:31:47 the White, Ahsoka the White. ahsoka the white
00:31:47 --> 00:31:52 so is her like white white lightsaber like for
00:31:52 --> 00:31:55 was it like foreshadowing then i guess maybe
00:31:55 --> 00:31:58 in a sense like the story but about her kyber
00:31:58 --> 00:32:01 crystal is like it was i believe it was it was
00:32:01 --> 00:32:05 a sith crystal that had been bled to be to turn
00:32:05 --> 00:32:09 red and she like healed it and and it became
00:32:09 --> 00:32:12 pure and that's that's why her her blades are
00:32:12 --> 00:32:15 white and i think maybe for my my understanding
00:32:15 --> 00:32:17 you know the sith bleed their lightsabers red
00:32:17 --> 00:32:20 the jedi have various colors but since she wasn't
00:32:20 --> 00:32:23 a jedi i felt like the colorless choice was was
00:32:23 --> 00:32:26 part of her identity as not a jedi not having
00:32:26 --> 00:32:29 finished the training Or even trying to be similar
00:32:29 --> 00:32:33 to the Jinsari that we see in Legends and whatnot.
00:32:33 --> 00:32:37 The Sentinels in the Rebels and whatnot, they
00:32:37 --> 00:32:40 have yellow sabers. So it's not quite that either.
00:32:40 --> 00:32:42 I think she's meant to be like a full middle
00:32:42 --> 00:32:45 ground at that point. Maybe we'll see her bleed
00:32:45 --> 00:32:47 her lightsabers blue or something again. I don't
00:32:47 --> 00:32:51 think you can bleed lightsabers a non -red color,
00:32:51 --> 00:32:54 can you? We don't know. I always thought lightsaber,
00:32:54 --> 00:32:56 the color was determined by like some kind of
00:32:56 --> 00:33:00 crystal they used. It is. And hers used to be
00:33:00 --> 00:33:02 blue. Green, then blue. Green, then blue. Anakin
00:33:02 --> 00:33:04 turned them blue. I don't know that he replaced
00:33:04 --> 00:33:07 the crystal. I assume that he replaced the crystal.
00:33:07 --> 00:33:10 I just really love the design of, and I've always
00:33:10 --> 00:33:12 said this, I love the design of Anakin Skywalker's
00:33:12 --> 00:33:15 lightsaber. And I love the trend of like Jedi
00:33:15 --> 00:33:19 before Order 66 of like their students having
00:33:19 --> 00:33:22 like sabers that are somewhat... similar to their
00:33:22 --> 00:33:25 master's design as like their first one. And
00:33:25 --> 00:33:26 then when they become a Jedi Knight, they make
00:33:26 --> 00:33:29 their own. Like you see that with Qui -Gon, Obi
00:33:29 --> 00:33:32 -Wan. Like I absolutely love the fact that they
00:33:32 --> 00:33:36 did it also with Anakin and Ahsoka. Now, granted,
00:33:36 --> 00:33:39 Anakin didn't make the. Or did like enhance the
00:33:39 --> 00:33:42 new Ahsoka Saber. So it makes sense that they
00:33:42 --> 00:33:44 look very similar in aesthetic. But I've always
00:33:44 --> 00:33:46 enjoyed that. I've always enjoyed specifically
00:33:46 --> 00:33:50 Anakin's Saber style. And I really like the Clone
00:33:50 --> 00:33:53 Wars Ahsoka Sabers as well. I'm not sure that
00:33:53 --> 00:33:55 I have a favorite lightsaber. Lightsabers are
00:33:55 --> 00:33:57 cool. I love them. I love the combat. But I'm
00:33:57 --> 00:34:00 more of a Beskar and Blasters kind of guy. Of
00:34:00 --> 00:34:03 course you are, you Mandalorian dweeb. All right,
00:34:03 --> 00:34:07 so. That is our part one of the Ahsoka episode
00:34:07 --> 00:34:11 discussing the first five episodes. As I mentioned,
00:34:11 --> 00:34:15 we will be back with part two after the season
00:34:15 --> 00:34:17 finale. But thank you guys for being here for
00:34:17 --> 00:34:21 the fourth episode of The Force Unscripted. And
00:34:21 --> 00:34:23 we look forward to seeing you on the next one.
