In this our inaugural episode of "Versus", catch the battle between Kal Skirata and Corran Horn to see who is the daddest dad!

[00:00:03] What's up guys, welcome back to the Force Unscripted.

[00:00:26] Today we have a new segment for you that we're doing.

[00:00:28] There's a short one, we're gonna do a versus between various characters in the Star Wars

[00:00:32] universe.

[00:00:33] Today we're doing a battle between, or a battle of the dads.

[00:00:36] So we've both chosen a dad character from Legends because honestly there's better dads

[00:00:41] in Legends than in canon anyway.

[00:00:44] But we both, yeah, we've both chosen two different dads.

[00:00:46] I've gone with Kal Skierata and my co-host here, Nikita has gone with...

[00:00:51] Khorin Horn.

[00:00:53] So we'll give you guys a little background because we know Legends characters are not

[00:00:56] as known as some of the canon characters, even all the canon characters are known.

[00:01:00] But to give you a little background, Khorin Horn was a Corsec, Corellian security operative

[00:01:07] who ended up turning into one of the first pilots in Rogue Squadron, an elite squadron

[00:01:14] for the Rebellion.

[00:01:15] And then turned, found out he had a Jedi background.

[00:01:17] His grandfather was a Jedi master and he ends up joining Luke's new Jedi school and

[00:01:23] becomes a Jedi master in the long run.

[00:01:27] And he has about where he goes between wanting to be a pilot, wanting to be

[00:01:33] this spy operative, wanting to be a Jedi.

[00:01:34] And he has a little bit of turmoil but eventually he becomes a Jedi master, marries

[00:01:38] the love of his life, who was the daughter of the sworn enemy of his dad and has two

[00:01:45] wonderful children, Vaylin and Juscella.

[00:01:48] And then on the other side, we got my boy, Kal Skierata, who is arguably the dad

[00:01:53] of a lot of the...

[00:01:54] I mean, we're going to say all the clones because honestly he adopted all of them.

[00:01:57] But in Legends, he was a member of the Quivaldar who are handpicked warriors

[00:02:04] that Jango chose to train the elite troops of the clone army who were the Republic Commandos.

[00:02:11] And there were a hundred of them that chose to basically disappear off the face of the

[00:02:16] universe.

[00:02:17] Everyone else thinks they're dead, but really they spent 10 years training squads

[00:02:20] of Republic Commandos to be the best of the best soldiers.

[00:02:23] Kal Skierata is arguably the most influential of the Quivaldar, not only training his

[00:02:29] own Republic Commandos and eventually adopting them as his own sons through the Mandalorian

[00:02:34] adoption culture that many of you may have seen in the Mandalorian show where Din adopts

[00:02:39] Grogu as his own son.

[00:02:41] He also adopted a group of clones called the Null Arcs, who were the very first batch

[00:02:46] of clones that were heavily modified genetically by the Kaminoans.

[00:02:50] Basically the bad batch equivalent in Legends if you haven't seen our bad batch episode.

[00:02:56] But better.

[00:02:57] They're better in every way, shape and form.

[00:02:59] When Kal first arrived at Kamino, he discovered this batch of boys.

[00:03:03] They were being slated for decommissioning by the Kaminoans, which basically means they're

[00:03:07] going to kill them off and make new ones because they felt that they were inferior

[00:03:11] products because they didn't follow orders.

[00:03:14] And they were like six-year-old kids who are really only like two or three.

[00:03:17] Man you say I talk for a fucking hour buddy.

[00:03:19] Hey man.

[00:03:20] You and your fucking mando boner.

[00:03:22] This is my bit.

[00:03:23] Hurry up we got to get into the argument.

[00:03:25] You're giving too much exposition.

[00:03:27] Basically he takes them, helps train them, raise them as his first sons from the clone

[00:03:31] army and they were the most badass.

[00:03:34] They're the ones who found Grievous on Utapau.

[00:03:36] They were hacked the entire bank of the Republic, stealing you know skimming creds

[00:03:41] off of everybody.

[00:03:43] They're the most elite of the elite.

[00:03:45] More elite than the ARC troopers because of course they came before and they were

[00:03:48] genetically better.

[00:03:49] Anyway, he adopts everybody.

[00:03:51] He's a good dad.

[00:03:52] He built a home for the clones away from the army once they were supposedly going

[00:03:55] to be able to retire.

[00:03:56] This is such a hard battle for me to fight because like you chose dads and like you

[00:04:01] went immediately to Cal and I also think he's like the best dad ever.

[00:04:06] Like he's the best dad ever.

[00:04:07] All he wants is everything for his boys.

[00:04:10] That's that's all he wants.

[00:04:11] Like literally that's his fucking goal.

[00:04:14] How do I beat that?

[00:04:15] Kornhorn's a great dad though.

[00:04:16] Like like Korn.

[00:04:17] So for those of you who don't know much about legends, Abeloth, a force entity

[00:04:21] is basically trying to take over the galaxy and she starts by polluting the minds of all

[00:04:27] the Jedi kids who are inside of the Maw, which is a cluster of black holes that is

[00:04:31] also her prison during the Yu Zhong Vong War.

[00:04:34] And so when they come out, they're all a little kind of fucked up.

[00:04:36] They don't know it though.

[00:04:37] So when Abeloth's seal weakens, she basically pollutes their mind and makes

[00:04:42] them think that reality is not real.

[00:04:44] And so the first people, the first Jedi that she gets her hands on that fucking

[00:04:48] freak out are Gisela and Valen, which are, you know, those are those are Korn's kids.

[00:04:53] And like, man, it is heart wrenching for him because Korn wanted nothing more than

[00:04:57] to be a dad, wanted nothing more than his children to learn the way of the Jedi,

[00:05:01] the way of his Corellian heritage.

[00:05:03] And so, like, he has to fight them and that tears him the fuck up inside.

[00:05:07] But not only that, like the chief of state of the New Republic becomes Dalla

[00:05:12] and Dalla treats them so fucking bad.

[00:05:15] She basically has them frozen in carbonite and put on display in, like,

[00:05:19] the police headquarters.

[00:05:20] And like, Korin and Merax find out, or Merax breaks down and Korin goes on a

[00:05:26] fucking rampage in the middle of the fucking police headquarters over his fucking kids.

[00:05:32] Like you can say a lot about Kal Skyrata, but like, you know how they say

[00:05:36] Corellian, like never tell the Corellian and the odds, like Korin did not

[00:05:39] give a fuck. He saw his children plastered on the wall as trophies and

[00:05:44] lost his fucking mind.

[00:05:47] And the thing was, people inside of the police headquarters didn't know that

[00:05:51] they had done that. So when they found out, like they basically put Dalla's

[00:05:54] hands, like they tied her hands because everyone was kind of like, what the

[00:05:57] fuck? That's fucked up.

[00:05:58] Like, why would you why would you put them on parade like that?

[00:06:00] And so it was part of a grand scheme to like get the release of

[00:06:04] Balin and Jocela. But man, like I've seen Kal get fucking mad about his

[00:06:09] boys. I've never seen him get as mad as Korin got about his boys.

[00:06:12] I don't know, man. When fucking Yitain died.

[00:06:15] Oh, God.

[00:06:16] That's a slice.

[00:06:17] Yeah, he did.

[00:06:18] Man, he lost his fucking shit.

[00:06:20] He lost his shit against a couple of Jedi.

[00:06:23] Korin Horne lost his shit against an entire like police department.

[00:06:26] OK, but like, who do you really think would win in a fight?

[00:06:29] A police department or a couple of Jedi?

[00:06:31] Definitely the couple of Jedi.

[00:06:32] But who do you think will win like against a trained ass Mandalorian

[00:06:36] and fucking three Jedi Padawans?

[00:06:38] Like, I mean, they're trained as Mandalorian.

[00:06:42] Yeah, and they're Padawans.

[00:06:43] So like the odds are definitely more in his favor.

[00:06:45] You know, a Mandalorian will shit on some Padawans.

[00:06:47] I just don't have some shit on three Jedi.

[00:06:49] Not only was he a Mandalorian who, you know, was capable of shitting on Jedi,

[00:06:53] but he has a hate boner for the Jedi because of what happened at Galadron

[00:06:57] because he wasn't there.

[00:06:58] And so he already hates the Jedi.

[00:07:00] The fact that he adopts like Yitain and Varden is like a side thing.

[00:07:04] But like he hates them motherfuckers.

[00:07:07] They're trying to escape Order 66.

[00:07:09] Yitain is one of his like adopted daughters.

[00:07:11] She's married to one of the clones and she's had a kid with them.

[00:07:14] They're trying to get out of Coruscant during Order 66,

[00:07:17] and they're going through a security checkpoint.

[00:07:18] And before she gets to the checkpoint where they may or may not have found

[00:07:22] her lightsaber and whatnot, she really was probably going to make it

[00:07:24] through just fine.

[00:07:25] A couple of Jedi in the crowd like get spotted.

[00:07:28] They get antsy and start whipping their lightsabers out.

[00:07:31] And one of the Jedi goes for a clone trooper to take him down,

[00:07:35] trying to escape.

[00:07:36] And she thinking about her husband, who is also a clone, just kind of

[00:07:40] sees his face in the clone trooper and takes the hit for him.

[00:07:44] And basically instantly is died, bisected from shoulder to hip.

[00:07:48] And her husband, his whole like squad, pal and a couple other

[00:07:53] Mandalorians are all around.

[00:07:55] And Kal flips his fucking shit.

[00:07:57] He charges through the crowd like, you know, slamming people to the side.

[00:08:02] Absolutely claps this Jedi just grabs him.

[00:08:05] The kid tries to hit him with the saber, realizes that he's swinging

[00:08:08] at Beskar and that's the last thought he ever has.

[00:08:11] Yeah, Kal, Kal goes fucking ham for his daughter, who's essentially adopted.

[00:08:15] Like she was not his.

[00:08:17] I mean, they're all adopted, but she was not one of his

[00:08:19] like original clone boys or whatever.

[00:08:20] She became one of the family just through, you know, her interactions

[00:08:24] with them, marrying Darmin, all that kind of stuff, having a kid

[00:08:27] that is essentially his grandson because he's adopted Darmin.

[00:08:31] Kadika. Yeah.

[00:08:32] And yeah, so I mean, they both go.

[00:08:34] They'll both hit that rage rage mode when they see their kids being hurt.

[00:08:38] And Kal would go to the ends of the universe to make sure

[00:08:41] that his boys don't get hurt.

[00:08:42] And I know you haven't read that book, so I can't wait for you to read it.

[00:08:46] Yeah, I know.

[00:08:47] And I because like how survives them, right?

[00:08:49] Yeah. Yeah. See, that's that's really, really fucking tragic.

[00:08:53] I and you know what?

[00:08:54] I will say that like, like when it comes to tragedy, a fatherhood,

[00:08:58] Kal definitely takes the cake on this one because like Corrin's biggest tragedy,

[00:09:03] he's a father, but it doesn't involve his children.

[00:09:06] Another little legend side story.

[00:09:07] So when the Yu Zhong Vong, which is an extra galactic threat

[00:09:10] that attacks the, you know, the known galaxy, they take over.

[00:09:14] And in one of the planets that they're trying to grab, Ithor,

[00:09:18] which is a planet that is known for its like lush plant and wildlife

[00:09:23] is being threatened to be taken by the Yu Zhong Vong.

[00:09:26] They're going to like just fucking destroyed the planet,

[00:09:28] like just completely kill every living thing on it, essentially.

[00:09:31] And Corrin challenges one of the Yu Zhong Vong, like high priestess

[00:09:36] or something like he's one of the top their top warrior.

[00:09:39] No, he's not a priest. He's in the warrior cast.

[00:09:40] He's one of the top warriors.

[00:09:42] And the deal is that like if Corrin can beat him in battle,

[00:09:45] then they won't take the planet.

[00:09:47] And like Corrin has a really fucking cool like he's a dual phase.

[00:09:50] He's like one of the only dual phase lightsabers

[00:09:52] in the legend's timeline where he can change the length of his saber.

[00:09:54] And he definitely uses it to his advantage.

[00:09:56] It's it's designed from a the handle of a speeder bike that he crashed.

[00:10:00] It's really cool design.

[00:10:02] But he has he fights one of the Yu Zhong Vong warriors and wins.

[00:10:06] But of course, Yu Zhong Vong don't fucking keep their word

[00:10:09] and they fucking destroy the planet anyway.

[00:10:11] And even though Corrin Horm wins like the hero of Ithor,

[00:10:14] people like fucking shame the like half the galaxy shames

[00:10:18] the shit out of him because the Yu Zhong Vong killed the planet.

[00:10:20] And even even though he won the battle, he won the with honor.

[00:10:24] They still didn't keep their word and fucking destroyed Ithor.

[00:10:27] But like that's like his biggest strategy.

[00:10:29] I guess he's a father, but his children are in the in the ma.

[00:10:32] They're quote unquote safe.

[00:10:34] But like Cal takes the cake on tragedy of fatherhood.

[00:10:37] Fuck, man, I could not I could not go through seeing all my boys

[00:10:39] get slaughtered like that.

[00:10:40] And not only that, but when he became a Kwe Vildar, he his children,

[00:10:45] his real biological sons and not his daughter, actually,

[00:10:49] but his two sons declared him our boy, which means like no longer our father.

[00:10:53] They yeah, they what's the fucking word in English disowned their father

[00:10:58] because he didn't like come back and help their mom and whatnot.

[00:11:01] And she passed away while he was training the clones.

[00:11:04] So he already felt like he was a horrible father.

[00:11:07] He watches some of his boys die.

[00:11:09] He every day, he goes out to a memorial for the clone troopers

[00:11:13] and reads out the names of all the clones that he's ever trained

[00:11:17] in the other commandos, which takes a long ass time in remembrance of them.

[00:11:21] He built an entire sanctuary on Mandalore

[00:11:24] where any clone could desert from the army and go and be safe and be free.

[00:11:28] He spent countless, like trillions of credits because if you remember,

[00:11:33] I mentioned that his boys skimmed the entire Republic banking system.

[00:11:37] They have trillions of credits set aside specifically for the clones

[00:11:41] when they want to leave.

[00:11:41] Not only does he have all that, you know, that fallback for them,

[00:11:45] but he invests a ton of resources, money, time,

[00:11:49] dangerous like missions to get these scientific data

[00:11:53] and scientists capable of reversing the accelerated aging for the clones

[00:11:57] because he just wants them to have a normal, like long fulfilling life.

[00:12:02] Like so everything in his life is about making sure that his family

[00:12:06] like lives has, you know, everything they could ever need.

[00:12:09] Never has to want for anything.

[00:12:11] So when any of his boys gets hurt or dies, it it destroys him

[00:12:15] every single time, like even one death.

[00:12:18] The man will be just absolutely depressed for, you know,

[00:12:22] long periods of time, doesn't sleep, you know, waits at the door

[00:12:25] just hoping that they're going to come home even though he knows they're not.

[00:12:28] Like the man is 100% about family.

[00:12:31] Dom Toretto.

[00:12:33] I this is yeah, this this was an awesome first versus.

[00:12:37] I feel like we have to give it to Kyle Skirata this time,

[00:12:40] as much as I love Koren Horn.

[00:12:42] I like I started this off with like I already agree with you on this one.

[00:12:46] This was a hard one.

[00:12:47] But yeah, I think Kyle Skirata comes out on top for

[00:12:51] our inaugural versus segment.

[00:12:54] We'll be doing more of these.

[00:12:55] This one was me and when she will probably have some of me and exotic,

[00:12:58] exotic and when she but gives you a little bit of lore that you may not know.

[00:13:02] And you get to see some of our favorite characters

[00:13:04] and play versus each other to see who's the best.

[00:13:07] Expect a lot more Mandalorians from me, obviously.

[00:13:10] Hey, I might throw in a Mandalorian or two.

[00:13:12] I know a couple from legends that I that I do love.

[00:13:14] You know, the you know, the old ones, the the Old Republic ones.

[00:13:18] I don't know them as well.

[00:13:19] Yeah. And they're some of the coolest ones, too.

[00:13:21] Man, I'm going to slap in some like Jaster, maybe a Miles.

[00:13:24] Who the fuck? Oh, there's Django second in command.

[00:13:27] Yeah, I had to think for.

[00:13:29] Oh, man, dude, I remember that scene you showed me in the comics.

[00:13:31] No. Oh, yeah.

[00:13:33] All right, folks, that has been our very first episode of versus

[00:13:38] with the force unscripted.

[00:13:39] Make sure to that bell like subscribe.
